Hello everyone!

I am new here and already have comments! Many years ago I was involved in a Wicca coven. Young and inexperienced, I unknowingly "crossed over" unprotected and picked up a nasty entity parasite. Of course, I didn't know about it until 15 years later. Its removal a year and a half ago seems to have sparked my awakening, after having turned my back on anything spiritual in my life for years because of fear, ridicule, and some not-so-nice experiences. I am so glad to be here now on this journey and doing this work!

Reading the lesson on Matriarchy and Goddess has really opened the floodgate of my mind. This concept is more of an issue for me than I ever realized. The fear, perfectionism, and limited, judgmental thinking that hold me back are, for me, partly the result of this Patriarchal programming that has been such a big part of my life.

I used to be a dancer (ballet, contemporary ballet). I danced so much masculine energy that it burned me out and yet again, I turned my back on something I love by completely closing that door and walking away.   The words in the lesson referring to exploring the edges to find our center really resonated with me. I hope to explore my edges enough to learn to become centered and truly understand the Goddess energy in my life, to truly understand with all my being that duality is illusion, that I am already whole.

I do think that Goddess has a purpose in allowing the balance to shift. In our society, things are disastrous, yet so many wonderful things have come from the Patriarchal, masculine energy. Perhaps these imbalances are supposed to happen for that very reason. The shift back will hopefully create more new and wonderful things. Isn't the shift already happening? We can't fight or control Mother Nature...

I think that is wise.  While it is good to recognise the effect of patriarchy on our thinking, I shy away from the victim position many matriarchs take. I think seeing perfection in what appears to be a pendulum swing is a heathier attitude.
