New Groundings

I have not been very consistent about the grounding exercise. But I always get great benefit from it, and I'm trying. I KNOW how important this is.

I learned another version of this a couple of years ago that begins with aligning the etheric and physical chakras and then goes through the grounding, chakra by chakra. I think part of the reason I haven't been consistent is that it always takes a long time, sometimes more than an hour. Once three hours passed! Of course I received great benefits - peace, insights  . . . but it's hard to do 8x a day!

I've been trying to use Mystress' version, because it certainly seems more "doable".

A couple of nights ago I had a very different experience of submitting to the light as it came down, it was much cooler than normal and I really was not directing it. When the energy came back up my spine, rather than coming up the middle I felt this gentle steady feeling of tree bark growing all around my spine. It felt protective, organic, strong and comforting.

I sat down to write about it here that night but the BB was inaccessible, so I went to sleep. Probably the best course of action!

I'm going through a period of great fast changes in my life - I'd like to talk about some of them here as I struggle to find meaning. But I'd like to know if that's appropriate or not here.

Thanks for all guidance.

Mystress

  Hello:

: I've been trying to use Mystress' version, because it certainly seems more "doable".

Yes.. I have encountered dozens of versions of grounding.. Mine is a distillation of simplicity, channeled from Goddess. Essential, not complex.

: A couple of nights ago I had a very different experience of submitting to the light as it came down, it was much cooler than normal and I really was not directing it. When the energy came back up my spine, rather than coming up the middle I felt this gentle steady feeling of tree bark growing all around my spine. It felt protective, organic, strong and comforting.

Sometimes you need to hit "refresh" and try again. Interruptions of service are usually only momentary.

Someone wrote to me recently, saying if Kundalini is the path of surrender, and Shakti cannot be controlled, why the need to do the grounding 8x45?
I responded to tell him that most people need to learn to surrender.. cultural training teaches us to be independent and closed. Grounding is learning to get in the habit of being open, receptive.

The grounding is basically, learning to be receptive to the Divine energy. Once you have the basic visualization down, you may find you only have to think the word "grounding" and the energy flows. You are opening to Shakti, and She knows what your body needs best. So, once you get practiced at grounding, surrendering and being receptive, rather than trying to control too much, the energy starts to give you little gifts, like you experienced.
Nice, isn't it?

Totally appropriate. Talking about daily stuff builds a sense of community in the group. I only said it might not be appropriate for me, because I am "teacher". But, if the students find value in my sharing, then it is appropriate. :)

Also, please do not be concerned about spelling mistakes and minor things like that.. whether your HTML tags are perfect... just be.

: Thanks for all guidance.

You are very welcome! Blessings!
