Dietary changes?

Since the discomfort and tension around my power chakra has gradually started to subside, I've noticed a different sensation which can be felt at my sides, under the ribs, especially on the left side.  It is not directly painful; more of a pressure, and I feel gasy a lot of the time, and my appetite goes up and down like some roller coaster. Sometimes I don't feel like eating anything and other times I get extremely hungry. What's even weirder is that my wife feels it, too. So we don't know where it's coming from.

It also comes down to an issue that I have avoided in life and is now presented clearly. To really care about what I eat.

Most of my life I haven't really paid much attention to the physical body. A few years ago when I got intensively into yoga, I took on a partly vegetarian diet (Not vegan, so I eat fish, eggs etc)  I feel like I am facing a situation where I need to reacess my eating habits and attitude towards food completely.. Again.

Something seems to block me from fully working with the sensitivity testing at http://www.kundalini-teacher.com/symptoms/stomach.html

With all the different contradicting systems about diet out there, adopting strictly to a doctrine appears to be a no no.. A yoga teacher I know is also an expert in ayurveda and can do readings. He seems to be really good when it comes to diet. Might be a good idea to get in touch with him..

Any insight about the feelings and pressures would be apprechiated.

Me too! For months I was barely hungry, and now I'm ravenous, for very specific foods. I'm kinda glad I barely ate for months; my body seems to have done some sort of fasting detox. Now I'm finding I just can't tolerate some foods well. My body mostly wants organic these days.

I've also become slender and toned. :)

My main problem is that when my body's craving a food that I don't have in the house, I can't eat it! So I'm stuck eating stuff that I don't really want. I try to stay away from foods that my gut gives a no-no signal to.

It's giving the no-no signal on some drugs, too. It'll be interesting to see where this leads. I'm taking Tylenol instead of anti-inflammatories and codeine! Go me. Wonder if I can find an organic or non-toxic painkiller that works well....hmmmmm. We'll see. I'm not opposed to drugs, but I don't feel like my body wants them right now.

Yeah, me too. I tend to live in my head too much. Sometimes I'm so up there I forget to eat! I'm doing more body-centric stuff these days. And I keep crackers by the desk. :)

*giggles* And I have a parter who asks me to eat a carrot every day. Thanks to him I've developed a carrot addiction.
