question about the third eye

Hello Mystress and lineage,
I have a question RE: the third eye. Once it is open, can anything cause it to close again? Mine was opened
many years ago, and I always saw light, and could see pretty clearly; however, lately, although it's not completely dark, I no longer see as clearly as I once did, and the light seems to have diminished.
Thoughts anyone please?

Hi,
I read once a nice sentence where author said basically that third eye, sixth sense is not something that you do but it is something that you are. That was like shock of truth for me.

So from that view opening or closing of the eye is only opening or closing us to ourself.
Thus all the cleaning acts that one does, all growing, the more clear one becomes, that is all in fact opening of the eye more.
I myself have seen various changes in the third eye light I see with closed eyes. But I would not think it is directly connected with quality of the third eye perception or its openness.
I see the third eye as connected to whole being and by cleanses of energy, trust to it and lack of fear
open this new sense or perceptions that is really not a new thing but also not a sense as in the meaning of an organ or a tool. So some visual or multi sense perceptions would not be for me as crucial as to evaluating third eye openness. With me the glow is variable but seeing the third eye glow or  squiggles is wonderful and supporting experience.
