The spirits of nature

So, when I was a little kid, walking around in the local forrest, I found myself drawn to the spirit of a mushroom!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanita_muscaria (in norwegian it is "Rød fluesopp")

But now, as I read up on the effects of taking it, it is nothing more than what I already experience normally, without any external help lol. But something is drawing me towards trying it, someday. Safely of course!

I just wonder what my attraction for it was all about... I felt the spirit sort of communicated with me, wanting me to eat it. I never did though, as I somehow also knew that if I took the wrong dosage it could be very poisonous. (As a little child, I knew this? lol.)  I also felt like I suddenly saw my own shadow self (when as a kid) on my left side.

It is not uncommon for me to get communication with the spirits of herbs, plants etc... The spirit of nettle has also communicated with me in similar ways. She's a real grounder to the earth!

This is sparking my creativity and desire for more interaction with the spirits of nature... Hmm:)

I also see the faeires attached to certain mushrooms, plants, etc... They usually make me giggle! :)

But I wonder how my life would have turned out and what I would have experienced, had I eated the mushroom as a child lol!

*Thinking out loud*

About a year or most likely longer, I visited the local viking village, at Karmøy/Haugesund. There's a beautiful church (Olav's church) there and a huge stone next to it called Virgin Mary Needle (Jomfru Maria Synål) . I touched the stone, (knew nothing about the myths etc before then) I felt as if I could feel how big it was etc (it extends very far below the ground) and got a lot of fear of judgement day etc, but then there was a woman as if she was coming out from the stone, and I experienced such love and enthusiasm, propably coming from her! I was a bit overwhelmed and so took my hand off of it... It was as if a vision with all senses involved, and had I delved more into it, it could have become very vivid... I felt as if I could "visit" the past, had I dared... I'm drawn to visit it again... I'm beginning to wonder if that was the same woman sho reached out to me another time I was there, sleeping over with some friends...

A lovely story.

I was thinking a couple of days before about Bathsheba, mother of Solomon, wife of David, and thought that she might be the woman in your vision.

I find it difficut to ground, and thinking about Bathsheba and David seems to help.

So, you claim Bathsheba comes out from the norwegian Viking villages stone? How so? Twindragon said it was a stone connected to Virgin Mary as far as I understood.

Martin

Bathsheba was the mother of both Jesus and Mary.

Because she is a mother in a biological sense, and because I was thinking about this, and experiencing feeling my feet on the Earth, I was then very taken back by TwinDragon's post of an experience she had a year ago, and saw some synchronistity in that.

Mary and Jesus, had, as far as I am aware, no descendents, whereas Bathsheba's gene is in a lot of people.

That's seems to ground.

She seems to be, in a biological sense, the Earth mother.

I suppose it is worth mentioning that TwinDragon said she was thinking about Judgement Day, and that Bathsheba has more to do with that than any other woman.

I was really just responding to the synchronisty and clarity and a felt responsibilty to share the same.

” The sewing needle of the Virgin Mary ” ( ” Jomfru Marias synål ”)

This is the only one remaining of several monumental stones which once stood around the church area. The stone has been somewhat taller, but,  towering at 7,2 meters it is still the next largest of its kind in Norway.
The stone leans in towards the church wall â€" the distance to the wall is in fact only 9,2 cm.
A saga tells that ” the day of Judgement will come when the stone comes into contact with the church wall”. A popular story tells us about the minister in the old ages climbing up the monument and cutting off a piece from the stone when it came dangerously near the church wall!

Thanks for commenting, it is very interresting what you say Martin:) I will look further into this!

Mari

Thank you Martin for clarification.

Twindragon, the stone is interesting. I was reading about it a little. No wonder you like to visit there.

TwinDragon

It was a very interresting experience, absolutely, but it put me off a little... It was a bit overwhelming :P But I'm looking forward to visit the place again, soon, hopefully ^^, The first layers just felt like collective myth stuff about it, but then as I got through to another layer, boom, there she was :P I wasn't prepared for that lol. Many people have reported seeing a green light in or around the stone. Maybe if I touch the stone again, I'll get more about it!
