Happy Aboriginal Day! The local museum had a celebration. I got to do some drumming and singing, and I made two necklaces and a talking stick. One of the necklaces was very pretty, and I think it tempted
The faeries, cause It dissappeared off my neck and now I can't find it anywhere. This is not the first time faeries have 'borrowed' pretty trinkets from me. Me and the faeries, We go way back.

Addendum: the faeries were gracious enough to give back the necklace. I was sitting in the kitchen playing with the drawstring of my pants when all of a sudden I realized my pants don't have a drawstring. I pulled the string out of my pants and presto! beads went down my pants leg. Thank you, faeries! *giggles*

On my bookshelf is an odd thing, a jar full of glittery trinkets: old jewelry, rhinestones, crystals, xmas tinsel ornaments, beads, laser stickers, bits of mirror, a square acrylic lighter with shells embedded inside... the sort of shiny things a crow would like. It is a faerie jar. Make one, and explain to the faeries that it  is for them and they can play with it as much as they want, but please leave your stuff alone. Put it on a low shelf somewhere and forget about it.

Thanks, Angelique! I like faeries but they have 'borrowed' quite a few items from me over the years. Darn faeries! *giggles*

I should ask, is there anything the faeries wouldn't like in their special jar? Iron, I would imagine.

Gave you a list of things they like, already?

According to folklore, anything that generated or had a magnetic field was toxic to some spirit beings, from cold meteorite iron magnetism,  to the ionic charge of running water, it would fragment them. By that criteria,  the electrical field of appliances would be toxic too but I have never heard a faerie complain about it.
