Hello everyone!  So let me give ya a quick run down.  I was depressed about 3 months ago.  and decided to start meditating after doing a reiki session.  Since then its been quite a adventure about 2 weeks ago i believe was a my kundalini at the time starting up.  felt like fire and lots of power going up my spine.  well i had no idea what was going on so i got scared and it stopped immediately.  It actually took out the power to my house also and caused me some pain in my lower back.  Thats where i stumbled onto this site and got i initiated a week ago.  Mani was a wonderful person to chat with while she was helping me.  But man for the last 3 days my head feels like it wants to explode i heard i need to do more grounding exercise which i have been.  but makes it hard to walk or do anything else except sleep.  even makes it hard to meditate.  Does anyone have and suggestions?

Thanks for this great community

well i have hard time closing my eyes during yoga, don't know why, don't think my Mom would be pleased with me closing my eyes during day light, so my yoga teacher/therapist says things that could be sum  up as just do it, Dr Low would probably tell just command your muscles to do it. So yoga teacher/therapist says close my eyes and take 10 deep  breaths and write down when i do it / keep a log
i'll try keep my eyes closed when she asks me to during yoga tommorrow. she likes sensory deprivation, she also likes guided imagry but when i close my eyes i just see black, cant even focus on a color

Mystress's grounding tip was to stand on one foot, we do that in yoga but Yoga teacher liked it being called a form of grounding

Hi Akia and welcome!

Pressure in the head is a common K symptom relating to overload, which is essentially K flow being restricted by blockages to its smooth flow out of the crown. Developing a strong grounding balances the energy out. Clearing out blockages and opening the crown chakra relieves the overload in time. We learn to do that in the course. Keeping the Crown open is very important. Otherwise it's like a plugged up chimney. For that I find, sincere devotion and heartfelt unconditional surrender to God/Goddess is the best thing. Best not to force anything though. Also excessive thinking closes the crown, so best not to think to much or resist anything.

You can also try dumping overload in the short term if that helps. It involves crouching down with feet flat on the floor, palms on the ground and asking Goddess to take your excess energy, that it flows back to the earth. Search it in the Tea room archives.

Sometimes when K is very active, we may have to live with the overload for a while though and just get more rest and take a nap.

Peace be with you

Robin
