Feeling tired after vegetarian diet - salvation through beef!

Hello,

I was wondering what your opinion is on some questions about food.

Let me shortly present what happened:

About one month ago I moved to a hot Asian country with my wife. She is vegetarian, I am not. However I have never eaten a lot of meat. Since we arrived I ate almost no meat because it makes cooking easier. Also there's a lot of delicious fruit. So basically I now had one month with almost no meat but I had tofu and fish.

The past two weeks I felt pretty tired. In the morning we're usually getting up at 6:00 AM. But recently I felt this was really difficult and also the morning stretching and yoga was no pleasure at all - which luckily is not the way it usually is  :)

So far so "good". Yesterday evening we go to a restaurant. Usually we share dishes and I also order veg stuff. However this time i look at the menu with pictures and see those beef slices in a spicy sauce and in that moment I really feel I have to eat that. Still salivating at the thought. LOL.

Next morning I wake up full of energy, yoga is a treat, etc...

So basically there's two questions I now have:

Is it possible that there is a connection on a metabolic level? In other words: Body lacks something, I give it that thing, 12 hours later the body is back on full power. Does that make sense?

Question two is the same but on a more subtle energy level. Even if Q1 was not possible from some scientific point of view, would that be possible on "chi" level or something similar?

My intuition this morning told me that both are right and I am still baffled by the huge difference that makes. However I would very much like to know other opinions, or maybe even what other experiences have been.

thx and sending sunshine to the Tea Room!

Thank you for the answer Mystress, this all makes sense.

Nevertheless I was surprised by the extremely fast reaction of the organism.
