I recently signed on to the FST course, and I've come upon my first question that I wasn't able to answer completely via Google...

I PEM'ed a brief intro to Mystress a couple of weeks ago that I'll repost here:

I haven't posted to the K-list yet, but I will soon. I have found it to be one of my favorite e-places over the past 3 months.

I read through and participated in the free sections of your FST course - wonderful! I had a couple of new K experiences that I hadn't experienced before as a result. I had a difficult K awakening in '92 - it simmered down and taught me many lessons that I needed... A few weeks after doing the beginning of your course, I went on a 2-week meditation retreat at the Monroe Institute in Virginia. I had the most beautiful, gentle, lovely, illuminating K experience. Small Satori - yum! The K centered mainly in my Crown, Brow & Heart centers while I was there. Since coming home, the other centers and every other part of my body have felt Her presence... All of my more dramatic K experiences have been accompanied by a VERY Feminine presence: Goddess gently stroking my face & placing her fingers into my 3rd eye, etc...

I've studied a number of esoteric systems, eastern, western & shamanic over the past few years. I've been a conscious dreamer & OBE'er for 15 years. I'm 32 years old.

Question: In the "Earth & Sky Energy" Lesson, Mystress gives examples of:

Earth path & energy - Tantra & Kundalini
Sky path & energy - Martial Arts & Chi

What are the esoteric paths & forms of energy for Water, Fire & Ether?

I have some ideas, but I'd like to hear your views...

Hmm.. well, I dunno! Your quote is an over simplification/distortion of what I wrote. You are not the first person to ask about this, so I guess that essay is not clear and needs an edit.


 That essay is not about the various paths, or the elements, so much as the two primary forms that energy takes, and how we relate to them. How the energies often feel when you do the grounding. More properly expressed, the binary of 1 and 0. Free Will and surrender. Something and nothing. chi is something.. light. Goddess is nothing. Void from which creation sprang.

 All energy is some form or combination of the thing and the space it occupies. The spaces between the stars and between the subatomic particles. We define the *things* in so many ways, elements, etc.  while seldom considering the space, just as most people never wonder if there is more to them, than their ego.  

 The essay is binary, it is about the duality of free will and Divine will. You are asking me to explain it in multiplicity. Does not really apply. Black and white, not color.

  The reference to fire is a side comment... K. is a fire path because it is about sudden, fiery fast transmutation. the fire Serpent is a symbol for K.
 What is fire itself? It is the action of alchemy. Not listed on the modern periodic table of elements. Not a thing,  but a specific activity, a alchemical reaction that turns matter into light!

  When all of your karma stuff is burnt away, transmuted back into light that flows, then you.. your ego.. becomes nothing but a transparent lens of Goddess/dharma/Spirit experiencing being human in linearity. Nothing but the Nothing that gave us birth. That is Self Realization.

 Having said that, I can speak a little about other paths. TM, for example would be a water path. Simply reciting the mantra and becoming nothing for 1/2 hour 2x a day, the flow of spiritual energy gradually washes karma away, like water eroding stone. Yet.. water has an oxidation effect on iron, and that too is a type of alchemy.

Sorry if this explanation is not clear.. Kundalini and Goddess both, are really impossibly to define in words. I give your ego some stories to make it easier to surrender, but these are metaphors. A way to try to define patterns in words. They can never fully define what Is.. and is not!

You can lead a student to water, but you can't make them drink... I had just read your "Welcome Message" & FAQ, but immediately had forgotten...
