Does anyone know if I can use a third party software and join a chat session? And if so how do i go about it?

Yes, computer issues do suck. I couldn't attend to SL meetings for a while in the past and it wasn't nice. I used my friends bigger computers sometimes

There is this alternative program, open life or something, that you could try. My old computer was so small that even that did not do the trick. SL needs a lot from the computer! The link for the program is somewhere here in the Tea Room, Mystress tried to help. Do a search, and I can try to find it again later. Didin't find it now.

thank you. i will do a search for it. meanwhile I saw a program called metabolt on the SL website as a recommended third party viewer. however I cant see anything only chat. I searched for kundalini and found a place called "kundalini mystic isle" The software allowed me to teleport to there but as I said i cant see the avatar only chat. There seems to be no-one there though. Maybe i am doing something wrong or do I need to be invited?

Probably you can join as a ghost member I don't have any idea what that third party viewer is, lol!
Chat starts later, so there's not going to be much folks around before that. Maybe Mystress can help you, when she joins our chat. Kundalini Mystic Isle is the right place, we are meeting there at the FST Temple, used to be called the white temple.

There are other browsers you can use to visit sl, this one uses a lot less computer resources:

Select viewer 1.15, and select "second life" from the grid list when you go to login with it.

Yes you can attend the SL FST chats with a text only browser. However you wont be able to move around at all really and will need to login to the chat directly.

Great! I will try it. Unfortunately I missed the last one but I would like to attend the next chat Tuesday in the FST chatroom if it will be held there. By the way what time is the FSt chat and what time zone are we using?
