I'm happy to announce that we're going to have FST web chats with Mystress once in a month. I keep you posted about them, I'm going to send reminders before each chat.

Web chats are every third tuesday of the month, 11 am PDT. Here's dates until Christmas:

september 15. (notice: it's next tuesday!)
october 20.
november 17.
december 15.

I am all new to this and so wondered if it is appropriate for me to join (as a fairly new person). I would love to, but also don't know what PTD means, since I am in Australia, I have to calculate the timing right.

Thanks Edward! I probably have to ask some guidance with this pc stuf, I was a bit  when MAS asked me to do this because I know my pc skills. Especially in SL. But I try. 

Minamaus: Chats are for all FST students. It would be nice to meet you there.
If you have similar troubles figuring out time zones like I do, check Mystresses sessions page. There you can see what time is where she lives, and compare it to yours. It's summer time now.

I went to that link and there are about five different Canadian timezones to chose from, which one .is it ? I am here in Australia (Victoria).

What time zone is Victoria in?

Standard Time is 10 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+10). 
Does Victoria observe Daylight Saving Time?

Daylight Saving Time is observed in Victoria, where the time is shifted forward by 1 hour, resulting in a 11 hour difference ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+11). 

After the Summer months the time is shifted back by 1 hour resulting in the normal Standard Time.

Yes, we are currently in GMT +10 (Melbourne, Sydney) and will soon be GMT +11 due to daylight savings. For the purpose of the chats, where will these be hold, e.g. in Canada, and if yes, what timezone ? I just want to find out whether I can join (I hope so).

I just converted PST8PDT 11.00am and found it would be 3.23pm in the afternnoon here in Melbourne. Sounds about right.....
