As some of you know, for some time I have been experiementing with non-human shapes in sl. I have about 57 non human avatars ranging from very large dragons to very small things, like a crow, a small toaster or a clockwork rat.

(Oh wait, I got a full set of free transformer robots yesterday.. five more?)

Being that, in sl, to see how it feels, how it changes perspective or thought patterns.  It reminds me powerfully of mask work, in theatre and ritual.

The other day I was cleaning my karma and noticed some shielding in front that looked a lot like dragon belly scales. Moving up, I discovered they went up my throat.. and looking further I discovered horns, and spikes down my back, a faint energy overlay of an entire dragon avatar on my physical body.

Things that make ya go hmm.. so I started looking for more imprints. The little toaster was in my chest, near my heart...

Looking back further I discovered the Marine from Doom is still a small inner presence.  A memory of what it was like to be him.  View of the world over a gunsight. Personally I like to play with cheat codes to test the limits of a game. Like, become invulnerable then play the whole game with only the chainsaw.  I once replayed the prison level repeatedly with the goal of trapping all the monsters in the cells to have my own zoo.  Collected the whole set, except for a few whose programming would not allow them to be lured out of their patrol area.

  Gotta have goals eh? LMAO

I really do not know what to make of the imprint phenomena... I surrendered what I found plus all such imprints in a general way.  I still have some sense of them but they do not appear to be interfering with the flow of my energy or anything.. just, a pattern of memory...

   interesting though eh?

This is very interesting!

At first reading, the post was a surprise to me.  Then the idea came that it should be no surprise that avatars and other things that occupy our visual fields should have an effect on our awareness.

As far as the method collection goes, a smattering of some of the techniques of the visual yogas have recently found me.  The effects of gazing at various forms/deities/symbols has been a powerful tool of transformation for thousands of years.  Someone recently informed me that in the Hindu and Tibetan tantras, "the most important yantra is the human body."  In hindsight, some of the most powerfully transformative experiences that have come to this body from the ongoing course work have come and continue to stem from simple visualization.

Thank you for the post.  The synchronicity is timely in pointing out the need to revisit the things that I choose to behold, whereas I have not previously given this the awareness it deserves.
