Though technically this is called "cybersquatting." Very illegal.

 Found a website today http://www.fireserpentreiki.com/index.html

Not only has this person stolen the Fire Serpent name to push reiki, but they actually took the FST logo too! Blurred out the fire serpent and pasted in a buddha, changed the green border to red, but some of the green shows through. I recognised the energy and the pattern of stars on the corners. Sigh.

I am sorry to see this, it is sickening.  No doubt though that hey guy must be building up some serious karma by messing around like this? I did a little research and here is the guy%rsquos info (not really that hard to find)%hellip.

He is the owner of the bigger http://www.powerattunements.com and is basically taking advantage of attunement junkies and I expect making at truckload of cash in the process.  To take then name is one thing but to take the logo and bastardize it like that really makes me mad and upset.  It probably not the only thing he has ripped off.  In fact, he has ripped off one of your ex Students and copied his pictures calling it Kundalini Reiki.   I%rsquom sure he will get his just rewards%hellip.

Mystress,

If you wish, I am willing to defend your interests with this issue.  I got sick to my stomach while reading his website and have no qualms about confronting him / financing to pursue this legally.

fiery regards,
Pete

I looked him up in whois already, and saw the attunement junkie and bad jewelry website. Didn't see the bigfoot address.

He may have permission for that one. I searched all my email archives and found a post from him on the Kundalini_reiki list... the content is ironic, in view of what he says on his page:

Subject: Tom Rigler

Dear Tom-You say you are 58 and not wise ---ON the contrary--you
surely gave a wonderful and wise commentary  on the way different
systems resonate with different people and the way some devotees
think their systems are the Ultimate.I do wonder though-due to the
proven difficulty of raising Kundalini to the ultimate safely-if any
of these new systems can do this.Victor

Thank you, Pete. I will consider it... you are very generous. Maybe it is his karma to get sued...

Expanding the search I discovered a few more emails from him going back to 2000... comenting on my websites.  If I want to sue, I have a good case for cybersquatting... and if I won, I would get the domain and all of his profits he made from borrowing my stuff. BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!

The fact is I am plagirized quite frequently, I try to think of it as an ass backward compliment because I have so many better things to do with time and money than visit with lawyers. I am becoming better known so plagirism is increasing, and likely will continue to. Do I really need to have a lawyer on speed dial to deal?

Usually a curt threatening note from me, is sufficient. Often people are simply stupid, rather than malicious, and fall over themselves apologizing.

This guy appears beyond stupid... I did not initiate him into Serpent Fire Tummo, but it is possible that somebody else did... the fact that he claims it as his own creation is simply foolish.

I am starting a blog... I have been thinking about this issue for a while and it seems like my best defense might be to publically point and laugh at plagirists, their lame ass websites, and questionable ethics... then invite the googlebot. Even that, is using a sledgehammer to swat a fly.

Humiliation is a fierce weapon I am incredibly skilled at, used to make a career of it... Still, I prefer not to make enemies... or provoke libel suits.

These people, while an annoyance, really are no threat to me because of how they sabotage themselves.  Karma bites. I could consider whether they are a threat to others... but really there are so many misguided spiritual teachers and paths, and I don't think it is my job to be the Rick Ross of spirituality.

Even so, I am off to claim all the fire-serpent related domains I can... it is the least expensive and most useful way to protect against cybersquatting. I've got 21 domains already though, it is getting a little ridiculous.

I did some interesting searches last night. Discovered somebody registered kundalini-teaccher.com... a blank site. fireserpent.com looks like it used to be a jewellry site. Most of the K related domains, are search engines, Kundalini Yoga teachers, and me! I RULE! ROTFLOL!

I think maybe I need a lawyer to do some trade marking though... nail things down.

Thanks for the support. Blessings!

Dear Mystress,

You could create link sections with descriptive links to "Your" frauders.
Then the search engines would direct the surfers to YOUR sites!
With the beneficial effect of "much fraud, much honor".
