I remember reading or hearing that Mystress usually has to remove Reiki Symbols from one's energy field.

I underwent a session with a Brennan Healer a week ago and one of the things she told me was that she had to remove a symbol from my crown chakra, which was a lotus petal that was blocking things!

The only place I would have gotten this Lotus Petal blockage from is the Grounding Visualization discussed in this course!

My question is, where did I go wrong to end up with a blockage like that?

This is only a small portion of what the Brennan Healer told and did for me. A very highly recommended experience.

I did something that might be similar once. I don%rsquot know for sure if it was a blockage, but at one session, Mystress detected some kind of %ldquofunny hat%rdquo at the top of my head. For some reason I have problems visualizing internal images. Therefore I think I probably tried too hard to visualize the flower at the top of my head during the grounding, and I suppose that %ldquofunny hat%rdquo must have been the result of that. Nowadays I work mostly with my kinaesthetic representational system instead of images.

The kinaesthetic representational system is based on all kinds of feelings and body sensations (instead of pictures, sounds or words).

The metaphor of crown chakra as lotus flower is deep in the collective, and drawing on collective imagery is not the same as implanting a symbol. The collective is part of you, you are All.

 The unconscious does know the difference between a metaphoric visualzation, and an implant. Otherwise you would also have a volcano under your feet, and a laser beam coming out your ass, an eggshell around you, and and ...
 I don't do implants!

At the time, I think I told you it was a result of your attachment to logical, intellectual thinking. Cannot recall for sure!

I have her books. They are interesting but there are many places she interprets what she sees in ways I disagree with. I also find her to be somewhat ridgid in her ideas... chakras must always spin one way and not another, etc. Chakras spin as they please, depending on what they are doing.

I do appreciate that she has popularized energy healing and etheric body repair. Good that more people are becoming aware of their blueprints.

 When seeing any energy healer (including me!)activate an additional level of discernment.

Call on your guardian angel to filter what occurs so that the healer's mistaken ideas or limiting beliefs do not mess you up, or give you more than you can handle.  
Go in with the intention that only that which is in highest good, in alignment with Goddess will for you, and your continuing spiritual growth and unfolding, will be allowed and your Guardian Angel will interfere with that which is not Dharma.

 What doesn't serve, won't stick.. and in addition the healer might get interesting insights from your Angel as it guides the process.

I agree, One must be careful. The healer did offer me some very interesting insights (as did you) which is one of the main reasons I go see them. Also the hands-on energy work is lots of fun and I do find it quite fascinating. Also I just love the energy those Brennan (especially the woman) healers give off.

Hmm,

I am a Reiki Master, but almost never use the symbols anymore.  For me they are more of a key to the energy you want to channel.  This key can just as easily be activated through pure intention.  I do not know if the symbols I was given are causing blockages.  I do know that I can have the same results without the symbols. The problem is recognizing the symbols as a bookmark and NOT the book itself.  When we give something like a symbol power, in and of itself, then we are creating trouble.  Nothing has power over us that we do not grant to it. It matters little if you are talking about Reiki symbols, DNA coiled Fire Serpents or a Dianetics (TM) Volcano, if you give it power over you then it will have that power.  If you recognise each as a key to open doors then you will retain the power yourself and may use it to operate the tools you have gained. I have not yet figured out how to apply this to Goddess though.  She wants your surrender. Does this imply feeding energy to Her or merely allowing Her energy to flow through you??
