Hi Mystress

I was just going over the House Spell and something isn%rsquot quite clear. When creating the pillars of light, in the video and transcript you say to go counter clockwise and in the lesson you say clockwise. Which one is it or doesn%rsquot it matter? I suspect it does%hellip..

Many thanks

Mystress

Wow, nobody ever noticed that before, including me!

Counterclockwise spin banishes, clockwise condenses. So to clear a space or yourself you can use counter-clockwise spin. For a spell of creation, you use clockwise spin to gather and condense energy.

In the opening ritual at the workshop, we created a counter clockwise spin bubble to suck away the karma being released... but that was a moving, vortex spell whereas a house spell is usually more of a grounding bubble, expanded.

So, it matters, but you can choose which way you want to go. Blessings!

I never noticed this either, just followed the instructions on the video. But I had a similar problem when it came to the description of the tornado at http://www.kundalini-teacher.com/karma/vortex.html. Clockwise is up-right-down-left-up and so on. When you project this on the ground, it will become forth-right-back-left-forth and so on. But when it says that the serpents %ldquospiral upwards in a counterclockwise direction%rdquo and %ldquoTrace the spiral upwards, it is counterclockwise%rdquo the direction should maybe be projected on the sky instead, so you get it the other way round (but counterclockwise when you face up)? Still that is not how it is at the picture of the serpents.

Thank you Mystress

Very Clear. Actually the thought arises you could do a counterclockwise tornado first to suck out the stale gunk so to speak then do a clockwise grounding bubble type effect afterwards to hold in all the clean fresh atmosphere.

Kinda neat. Ho hum, doesn't take much to please this mind I'll be off spinning tornados and plonking bubbles in their wake willy nilly :^)

Wow Vyana!! I went into a proper spin just reading this, kid you not :^)

I'm sat in a swivel chair in front of the computer and I start rotating round to understand what you mean. After about 3 or 4 minutes I came over all giddy and had to stop.

Thanks for the rush....

But I see what you mean. I've always taken the direction from imagining I'm stood on a clock face.

LOL!! Kundalini educates by experience, eh?

Yes, that is correct. I had thought it obvious, how clock face direction is usually understood.. So thank you vyana for letting me know what needs adjusting in that lesson.

I had not thought anyone would look to the caduceus image for direction, as it does not even spiral round the staff completely. I'll replace it with a clearer one.

I guess it is a cultural reference. Like the jargon of airplane pilots, "bogey at 5 o'clock" is directional, and relative to the individual airplane sitting on a clock face with the nose at 12 and the tail at 6.

As a side note, the downward flowing chi sky energy does trace the serpents path in a clockwise direction... head to tail, condensing it for the body's use. The upward shakti earth energy travels tail to head, blowing karma blockages apart with counterclockwise spin, as Kali devours...

but it is still best to keep the grounding simple, and let the snakes and chakras spin as they will.

Witches and Wiccans use clockwise spin for their circles, because they are gathering chi to apply to free will based magic. Some of them even consider counterclockwise (widdershins) to be for black magic. They are not clear on the concepts of creation and destruction.

Yet, as right hand projects energy, and left hand is receptive, a circle of people holding hands generates a counterclockwise spin. So when I am casting a clearing circle for a group, it is simple to send the energy round the circle in the natural widdershins way and spin the egg-tornado bubble out from that.

Clockwise, comes from the path of the sun each day if you are facing north... which dates back to before Galileo, when it was believed the sun went around the flat earth. On the other hand, a sundail in Antartica has the numbers running widdershins!
