Dear Mystress,
A little thing to add with regard to the heart voice is that from my life experience I do feel very much guided. There have been many important shifts in my life in which I clearly felt to drop all well known matters for a totally new direction. With regard to deep matters there's always a clear inner certainty about what to do or not to do. So maybe I just haven't learned yet to listen to it in a way to hear it more directly.

Mystress

  Hello:

That feels right, to me... you are already getting heart guidance, you just are not getting words...

  or
Perhaps you simply do not recognise that one of the voices of your thoughts, is the heart voice. You are so accustomed to it you do not realize what it is. I did not, for most of my life. I did not stop to analyze the many voices of my thoughts... I simply knew that some thoughts had a resonant feeling of truth. They were stated as simple fact, no persuasion required and I would *know* they were true... even though I was sometimes stubborn and did not follow it. :)
When you get the information of what to do, with the feeling of truth, does it come as a thought or an idea? A Zen impulse without thoughts?

For me, in my daily life the heart often seems like a little voice in the back of my mind... it is like the information from the heart comes up and is translated into words where the spinal cord meets the brain. If I am meditating and focusing on the heart, then I am more aware of it coming from there.

  Hope that helps! :) Blessings...

Ahh!?!? Maybe that's my problem! Doesn't seem like anything special, but I do notice that I'll be thinking, and not that the voice changes, but I'll think, that's probably not a good idea, and then without thinking I'll respond to myself with, "Nope, it's not." Then I shake my head and doubt myself.. oh boy, running in circles can be fun!

Love and joy!
  Keith

That may be true for you too, Keith... but it also could be mind voices arguing. Spend time observing your thoughts rather than engaging them, and you will get a sense of the cast of charachters at play in there. The play of consciousness. Doing the entity clearing on each of the voices can be helpful... also the inquiry "Who am I?"
Blessings!
