Mystress

  I've been busy.

These past two months I have been on a learning curve... Since the late 1990s I have wanted to build a virtual Kundalini temple in cyberspace... a 3d version.   In the 90's the tech was still  too lame for that, but wow how it has advanced since then! Toward that end I joined www.secondlife.com at the end of Feb and started exploring. Got sucked right in, wow it is addictive to my fascinated ADD brain.

The Kundalini Gateway , finally has a garden and temple, (and yes, even a gateway!)  in second life virtual world.  http://slurl.com/secondlife/UOS/197/200/21/?title=UOS

Opening party is Today;  Sunday May 11 at noon sl time, which is conveniently in the same time zone as me (PDT) , because I am dyslexic with time zones and always get them backwards.

The Kundalini Gateway group, "Kundalites" is the owner of 4092m of virtual waterfront real estate, one corner of the UOS. Enjoying the garden is free. If you wish to join the sl group there is a sign-up fee of 500 lindens (less than $2. usd) and then you can set the garden as your home base. The money goes to the group and will probably be used to pay the tier (sl hosting fee)

That is the main group, but there is another 2000m of virtual real estate devoted to you: the Fire Serpent Tantra temple and park is connected to the Kundalini Gateway, and the opening party is at the same time.

Unlike web pages, you do need a fast computer with a good graphics card and a solid internet connection to enjoy sl. If your computer or internet is slow, then the landscape is very slow to appear and there is a lag between your keystrokes and your avatar's movement which becomes very frustrating.

There is also a learning curve that will be short if you have played 3-d type video games before; be sure to take time to go through the orientation training after you sign up, download the sl client and select your basic avatar shape.  It takes 20 minutes to an hour depending on your previous experience with virtual worlds and the practice will save you hours of confusion later. Time well spent.

Letting you know, so you have time to get ready for the party...

For those who are unfamiliar: second life (www.secondlife.com) is a virtual reality world.  It is *not* a gaming world, like "World of Warcraft" or "Elvenquest."  It is not a game, there is no goal. It is an opportunity to have a second life, a second self, and be or do, anything.  It is a social, work and recreational virtual environment that is growing fast.

Some countries like Sweden have set up embassies there.  It has its own currency, and a large, international population of people who work in the virtual world to pay the real world rent. Loads of artists and geeks.  Corporations and non-profit orgs have gone to work in Second life, doing everything from emergency medical training to socializing autistic children.

Wired magazine writes about doing business in secondlife: "don't show up to a meeting as a mermaid."

In your second life, you can fly... you can be a faerie or a wolf or join the space program or build a castle in the air.  I am usually human but sometimes a small purple ball of light, and when PMS-ing I was a shiny black ball of spikes for a few days. Just sort of a warning label really.  The spikes were harmless, and waved gracefully like a sea creature in the tide,  when I flew.

I have to say, SL is addictive, a giant time wasting diversion, an amazing font of art and creativity,  and a whole lot of good silly fun fun fun. I don't recommend it at all. Not unless you need a new addiction that will take you out of normal reality and make you forget to eat.

Well, that kind of distraction (and most of my email mysteriously going missing to give me more focus)  is not unusual when Goddess uses ADD hyperfocus to put me into a sharp and fast Shakti fired learning curve like this past two months has been. Whew!

Bringing my cyberspace mystery school and the Kundalini gateway into the new technology of online communication was really sort of a no-brainer of a decision... an obvious next step.  I've been waiting for the tech to catch up and wow!!  Manifesting an idea that has hung around for near a decade? A new interactive artistic medium, how could I resist?   No contest. Jumped in head first. Disappeared for two months.

Just coming up for air, having accomplished a lot of goals. :)

The education has been in the spiritual and the sl-practical: like, learning to build so I can manifest the vision.  My sl mentor says he has never seen anyone learn so quickly or so omnivorously, sucking up information about how to do *everything.*  He did not even think about editing scripts until his second year, and did not mess with sculpted prims until his third year. I tackled them in my second month, by necessity of manifesting a vision.

Geek talk. I still have not mastered scripting... need a good sl scripting volunteer who is familiar with my grounding meditation to create it 3d in particles and animations, and big enough to give a sense of scale between earth and sun. ooooooooo

For all the tech though, the spiritual and psychological exploration has been the real meat of my fascination. Creating your avatar self is a exploratory process, watching it evolve over time as your human self adapts to the virtual environment and you come to "occupy" it more readily.

Met a lot of folks who became empathic as a result of sl, the intense curiosity and desire to know the human behind the pixel puppet stretched their senses and they became overwhelmed, not knowing how to deal.

This was a motivating factor in my choice to land there... going where the work is... and a cautionary note.

The avatar bodies are only pixels and cannot be hurt, but the feelings and the people behind them are real.  Use your second life to enrich your first, not to hide out from real life in a fantasy.

The occupation, identification with the avatar self;  the effects of putting a part of yourself into a pixel puppet, or creating that identity and how it translates back to rl- the first life in the physical, makes me shake my head in surprise and wonder.

Simple things, familiar yet profound when seen in a new shape.  For example, I created the grounding animation because just watching it loop, puts you in sync with it... Grounds you and widens your channels.

So discovering that watching my Avatar virtual self doing tai chi meditation creates a parasympathetic reaction of subtle isometrics in my physical body that actually relaxes me,  ought not to be *such* a surprise... yet, nevertheless quite astonishing. Watching my avatar self do poses on a yoga mat, I can feel the stretch in my physical body that is sitting motionless at a desk. Mirror neurons are amazing things.

Similarly, I learned how to charge and encode intuitive information into web pages years ago, FST is part of the product.  Learning, is almost the wrong word... Goddess did it.  The shakti energy zap goes into anything creative that I do, from web pages to emails to soap.  Shakti clings to my laundry.

Learning to charge virtual reality sculptures is similar. Half accidental, a side effect of creativity or listening to the muse,  and half focusing intention into the work. My energy follows my attention... and two months of my Goddess inspired ADD obsessed hyperfocused attention has been poured into this.

I bought a huge tree for the Kundalini garden, 60m tall. It accidentally came apart when I tried to move it, and I had to rearrange it a lot to fit within the boundaries of the park.  Floating in the sky, moving and rotating massive branches, 20 meters long in 3d with only a 2 d perspective. Challenging.  Tweaked it for hours, over a few days. Added meditation pose cushions to the branches, thinking of Kundalites with their spine to a tree, letting the tree cleanse and balance them.

Didn't think much about the effect it would have...
Someone who wandered into the garden recently knowing nothing about what it was for,  said the energy of the big tree reminded them of the World Tree of Norse legend. The world tree in turn, is symbolic of the central channel of Kundalini. (!!! Goddess did it!)

Getting interesting comments from visitors... following guidance and my learning curve, I built and scrapped three Kundalini sky temples over the weeks before the vision came clear, same elements in a different configuration... seeing the result takes my breath away. I am amzed at what Goddess has wrought.

Still not completed, the chakra temple is a glowing, 140 meter tall model of chakras and serpents, floating in the sky, and each chakra is a 10m meditation sphere, which I have charged with the energy of the chakra,...  sort of inspired by the chakra colour mediation on the website and the Caduceus theme of the Kundalini gateway.

I was showing the 3rd eye meditation sphere to an sl friend who is a builder, because she had some ideas about camera scripting.  I commented that she might feel pressure on her forehead.  She said, "I've been feeling that pressure since I walked onto the estate!"

ooooooo. heh. Well. News.  Had not actually worked on the land itself to be sacred space so Goddess did it... But the third eye chakra sphere has two meditations.  If you sit on the other cushion and face the opposite way, gazing at the center then you will feel something like a karmic vacuum cleaner sucking the pressure  and all the stress right out of you.

Creating stuff like that is totally fun for me.  Especially being able to share it.  Wheee...

The cyberspace virtual proximity Shakti field effect of whether a page is open on the desktop or not, works but is also translated to be a localized avatar effect;  I am getting daily evidence, most of it from sensitive friendly strangers that my avatar self has a shakti field of proportionate size and proximity-effect to my human self... proportionately similar to the actual localized effect of being near me physically.

Yesterday a stranger who wandered into my garden said my "Aura was unusually strong"... (and then his computer crashed and he did not come back until the next day.)

These are things that make me go hmmm...  How did that happen?  No idea. How does that even work, bits on a server?  Best not to think about it too much lest the server go poof.

Second life satsangh with Mystress and devotees.... (shakes head) where did that come from???  Following the Muse...

Shopping for virtual real estate:  The new age folks at the zen sim were decidedly chilly about having me there, and smelled like a cult...  but Mistress Victoria was happy to sell/rent a corner of her "University of Submission" sim to me at a very reasonable rate.  I have warned her that her sim may soon by inundundated with clueless noobs... she says you are all welcome to explore and told me the UOS also offers orientation classes for sl newbies.  It is a mature sim; but nudity and weapons are not allowed, and the people you meet are all very charming, formally polite.

Once again the new age types were cold and the kinky folks welcomed me. I shake my head at the irony but in fact it is a more beautiful sim, she has been great.  She usually makes ends meet by renting space to her UOS teachers, but they last about a week before moving house because the students don't leave them alone. Did not understand what she meant at first....

It is rather funny, because I am often alone on the sim, building. Visiting submissives see the green speck that is me on the mini-map and assuming I am a UOS Mistress they come and sit patiently at my feet, politely waiting to be noticed. Which sometimes takes a while, if I am busy building. Nor are they necessarily human, there has been a neko kitty, a faerie and an extremely charming wolf whose tail looked so soft I wished I could pet it, come to kneel at my feet hopefully. Way too cute. They call me "Miss Mystress."  I explain that they are welcome to enjoy the garden, but I am a mystic Kundalini Mystress not a UOS Mistress and the University square is thataway.

I had a lost visitor recently who sent me an instant message. "I am in your garden, and there are all these submissives sitting around, and they keep calling me sir." He was not in my garden, I found him standing in the University square, and strolled back with him to our corner.

So if you go for a stroll outside the wrought iron fence,  or, anywhere really... be polite to people... or, critters, or spiky things, giant transformer robots and little purple balls of light. If there is a nametag hanging over it, then there is a human behind it looking back at you.

But hey, it is a party. Get yourself an avatar body and come hang out.

   Blessings...

That is so cool! I will do my best to come along to this.  It's also interesting that in 15 - 20 years science believes we could upload our consciousness to a computer.  Moore's law has been right so far.  Here is an interesting documentary on that;

http://video.google.ca/videosearch?q=human+2.0&hl=en&sitesearch=

Can't wait to come see this place..... all I need now are some i-glasses!!

The thing about sl is, it is new technology and kind of buggy sometimes.  It crashes. It goes down for maintenance.  I just crashed (11:50am, sl time PDT)  and when I tried to log back in, it would not allow it... logins are temporarily restricted to maintenance personell... and the 43,561 people who did not crash and get to stay logged in.
It will probably be back up within the hour.  Timing, eh?

I was really impressed with the work Mystress did on the virtual Kundalini temple.  The types of virtual social environments that exist in Second Life are quite astonishing.  Whenever I'm doing my next FST lesson, I shall login to SL and sit in the temple while I read the webpage and watch the realplayer video.  It was very nice and helpful to be able to ask questions of Mystress and others while there.

I guess this is my hello to everyone in the Tea Room.  In SL, my name is Reines Wasser.  Why I was only given German names to choose from, I'll never know, :)

My real name is Rick, I'm very new to FST, and glad to have found Mystress and her program.

Wonderful, Mystress!

Along the FST i was just meditating that creative Women build Their creations on progress and Your email aka this article show that You ARE what you teach(while someones are what they eat ...cackles).

Even if sl crashes sometimes(with me during voice setup).

The teacup on the roof must be a stargate, right? Delicious snapshop, soon 'll try again!

Since You already revealed Your name, do You expect we also do so? I can imagine maybe not(You'll know anyway, while for other ones, it may be sort of a funny guessing game?)

I visited the Place. It's amazing. Chackra Temples... :o I spent quite a while releasing karma. When is the next party??? I couldn't come to the previous one because of the maintenance break.

Mystress

Since You already revealed Your name, do You expect we also do so? I can imagine maybe not(You'll know anyway, while for other ones, it may be sort of a funny guessing game?)

I am not into guessing games. Please tell me who you are via IM when you arrive. Don't assume I will ESP you, I am too empathic to be focusing that much attention on every passing stranger.

Whether you choose to reveal yourself to others is your call.  Post your sl name here if you wish to.

   Blessings...

DaveP

Tried several times to login to sl, seem to be having some difficulty, changed my pass word twice...to no avail.

Is anybody else having similar problem...itching to get in there :-\

I'll definitely be there!  Couldn't make it to the opening party though.  The laptop Im using is a bit slow.. (Might work later on, but to try to get through a tutorial on a slow computer is a big pain) Will probably use the stationary or wife's new laptop for it.

I've made custom clothes, textures and skins for other games and mods (including an erotic game), it's quite fun. I enjoy creating virtual art just as much as music, physical art etc. SL has a big community for it, so if I get into it I can make some FST clothes, pending what Mystress is interested in. If you sell them it can help finance the temple (Or so I am led to believe it works at least) :)

Namaste!

Also read that SL has support for custom sounds.. Maybe there's something you'd like in that department, as well!

DaveP

God this is so addictive...once I got to know how to use my character correctly, I can't stop being there it is truly magical, especially the chraka system, it all so fascinating. The energy of the place just blows me away...I'm totally hocked.

Loads of free stuff...thanks Mystress!

If you wish to join the sl group there is a sign-up fee of 500 lindens (less than $2. usd)

Not sure how to subscribe and pay the $2. usd.?

Mari

Totally addictive, you said it right ;D With my mind it's hard to stay away when I get interested. New cool things everyday! I saw Mystress there. I got freaked and suddenly couldn't use chat. I still managed to bow, from the distance, then I decided that she didn't saw me anyway, why bother her and I hurried away. So typical for my cultural background. Heh heh! Crazy Finns... I'm Mari Rozensztok (or something like that).

DaveP

Hi Mari, I rushed into Second life, wanted to experience all the goodies straight away, not taking the advice given to know how to work things first...I felt so inadequate when I teleported into the garden, Mystress was there and I really wanted to chat to her loads, but I  felt clumsy, which brought some stuff up in me to look at. Too impulsive I guess?

I'm on Body-talk lesson at the moment, which has shed a light on some stuff...I must just be present and let the moment speak, instead of thinking too much of what to say. But so what, I'm here to learn and to observe myself, no need to beat myself up about it...its a learning curve which seems to never end...

I can see how S L is going to mirror my insecurities through my character...which is rather bizarre. Did you feel how powerful Mystresses aura was...

See you hopefully at SL

Love Dave

S L is a everything real life is, sometimes more so since fantasies are played out as well as real life extended.  I'm alternately frustrated, inspired, mellow, buzzed, focused, extended, bored, happy ....   You get the picture.

It's a great place for extending boundaries, letting the shadows out to play, meeting new people and for putting the fst lessons into play.

You should see what Mystress has done with her part of the place.  I hope you come by and check it out.  :~~>

Iris

Hi Mystress and everybody,

I went to the party- one day to late-  Mystress told me, as I was standing in her garden :)
Anyhow, what I wanted to say actually is, that I really enjoy the spaces in your garden Mystress. Everything feels so alive. It had a strong impact on me. Since this was the place I first went to in SL, I thought that´s normal, but visiting some other places yesterday (I was in NewBerlin) , I realised that they feel so flat in comparison.
Just curious Mystress, would a shaktipat hug in SL have the same effect as in real life?
I feel a bit embarrassed, that I almost run away, when meeting you in your garden, just because I felt guilty that I didn´t do my homework, and got a bit familiar with SL tools- says a lot about me, doesn´t it?

By the way, should any of you run into Isa Rauch by accident or choise, it is me  8)

Actually, yes!  Tried to get ahold of you a few weeks ago.  I got a set of tibetan chakra bowls for the chakra meditations and they are lovely but your chakra meditation sounds are better!

I am intrigued by how multimedia sl can be... possibly some of the videos and audio mediations can be formatted for sl too.

I know getting into marketing stuff in sl is inevitable for me because I keep creating stuff... clothes shoes buildings vehicles furniture... Even stuff like a really ugly free sculpty easy chair I redid with a woven eather texture is so much improved it is saleable.  (I have a few friends who have been in sl for years. One saw it and said "If you can make sculpty furniture then your sl is paid for." )   I've collected about 15,000 textures and hundreds of sculpty maps for everything from stairs to hair. I even have 25 styles of sculpty horns that I am using for wierd sculpture.

I also met at least one sl retailer, a clothing designer who was so burnt out on customer service that all she could do was spit nails at people.

It is just fun to make stuff, although a little hard on the carpal tunnel... ;)

If I can sell enough stuff to pay for the tier then yayness!  Though I think it will more likely come from donations and my pocketses.  Tier (similar to web hosting fees)  for the 3 estates that together are the Kundalini-gateway park and FST temples is 3900 lindens per week .. depending on exchange about $60. usd per month.

One visitor donated $500.usd which covered most everything I bought those first two months, from the White temple to my avie's photorealistic hair.

That Goddess is in support of FST expanding into sl, I have no doubt... in some areas I am even being strongly pushed to expand my comfort zones.  Some of the synchronicities have been amazing.

For example, I have a few projects in mind including an improvement to the chakra meditations which involved taking control of the camera.  I asked a lot of people how to do that.  Everybody, including some well known scripters who have been working in sl for years told me it was impossible.

Then my neighbor, (another BC resident only 2 months older than me in sl time)  gave me the link to the wiki page on how to set the camera.

Friday, before the party I searched for a 15m megaprim sphere to be the crown chakra of the cadeucus.  There was not one to be had in all of SL.  Gene Replacement made all the existing megaprims, and then a server update made them impossible and he died in rl.

Yesterday (Wed) morning I logged in to find a group notice from Tommy Parrot, saying he was having a sale on custom megaprims until noon or whenever his server switches over.
CUSTOM MEGAPRIMS!!!!  I got so excited I could barely type, but 20 minutes later I had a 15m sphere for only 100l.. about 40 cents.

I ordered a whack of them actually (including pyramids!!! wheeeeee!)  and then the same neighbor told me a bunch of geniuses were making them during that brief server opening and were giving them away in collections on sl exchange.   I got the megaprims I needed to redo the serpent spirals as well.  Redoing the wings is up  next.

I am delighted and astonished by the very warm response to the new sl space.  More people showed up for the opening party than have *ever* shown up for a regular web chat party.  Which is really amazing considering sl has a learning curve.

The last event was the members opening.  I plan to have an SL opening party in a week or so, and will continue to have scheduled and spontaneous events and even some workshops.

So happy everybody likes it! Yaaaaay!!

Here is a shot of the Chakras sky temple, taken from the middle of the sim with the time set to sunrise.  The temple is about 150m tall. In a way, working on it reminds me of when I first put the grounding meditation online... I would fall into a trance in front of the screen spontaneously as Goddess worked through me to charge it up.  The chakra temple becomes more beautiful the more I contemplate it, and I get lost in gazing at it.

Being able to combine art and magic in a 3d medium like this and share it with people is wonderful.  Today I modded an elephant I got for free off sl exchange.  It is a rideable elephant but it only held the driver.  I adapted it to hold 4 passengers and I was giving visitors rides around the sim.

The new Isis temple pyramid below it sort of jumped out of me by itself on Friday afternoon... a combination of getting some new megaprims that could form a pyramid, and realizing I cannot do a meditation ball of the Void. Goddess provided the Isis temple, instead... and ya know it named itself so I did not really think of how it is the UOS and Isis is the patron of slaves as well as of witches,  until Sigmund mentioned it.

   Hello Mari:

Thank you. It is interesting eh, considering the flowers are only pixels. It is like when a child talks to a toy as if it is alive, the toy becomes alive... and the child is upset if the toy is harmed. The byproduct of the inner alchemy of transmuting other folks karma is pure raw creative energy, and I always have to keep putting it into things or I start getting accidental manifestations that are not so pleasant.

My energy follows my attention, whether it is people or pixels or soap... and building this garden has taken the better part of two months of very hyperfocused attention. Despite the fascination tho, I am wanting to finish with building and get out to enjoy the rl summer!

I am spending a lot of time in sl these days, sometimes I am busy building and may not notice people, or I have left my avie parked on anti-idle on one computer while I am off posting here or doing other non-sl web work on the other.

An IM is the best way to get my attention, and it may take a few minutes for me to finish up what I am doing, remember to check back in sl,  or minimize a bunch of windows to see you or tp to you but I do like to say hello to visitors.

Yes Mari, I can and do give Shaktipat hugs in sl, and it feels similar to give them but you have to come back and tell us how it feels.  :)  If you want a hug, or a ride on an elephant, or a tour of the sky temples on a cloud,  just ask me. :)

Mari

Hug would be...mind blowing? ;D I suppose you answered to Iris, but anyway.
I totally love the Temple! My heart voices name is the Rose, so roses in the heart chakra Temple were Oh Wow to me. Then Isis Temple is really beautiful... One of my new names (I got new ones from numerologist years ago) is Isis, so I feel somehow connected to that energy too. So Thank You Mystress!
I have had these kind of feelings coming lately... Like FST is mirroring me back to me, and it gets sometimes so intense that I'm thinking am I sliding into psychosis. I'm wondering have I "accidentally" found people who are like me, my group? I'm not an big time empath though.

I'm going today to face one of my big fears. Feels great and then not at all.
See You all in SL! New party would be nice :)

juergen

Mystress, i wonder if You haven't painted The Void, though, with elephant_006.jpg!
Everything meaningful seems in it, All Bliss, and it expresses All Peace at the same time; it's just how i feel; love,

I installed SL, but every time I load it up it crashes! Does anyone know if it works on Vista? Thanks.

I have Vista, and it works on mine.

Try uninstalling the SL-program, and then reinstall it.

Our communication has definitely been glitchy.   Only 1 out of 10 emails didn't bounce, for some reason. I will be more than happy to make any sounds that you want and need for your project, just ask and you shall receive!  I haven't had the inspiration yet to get involved in SL though, due to my sluggish laptop, and being distracted in general. I probably will get hooked once I start though, like I get hooked with any type of computer art, sound and modding.

Do you know how to implement the sounds?  And are different ways of playback possible? (Like one-shots, loops) and its range and volume in the 3d environment, etc?

Sounds like a blast!  I'm absolutely amazed of the vast resources you are attracting while working on this stuff!  Without any doubt in line with your bliss! I do have an avatar set up now, I will drop you an IM so we can stay in touch there!

Wow!  This place is incredible.  As a busy person with four kids I thought no way did I have time for this, but eventually I just got too curious and I am glad I did.  Mystress, this is so, so beautiful, thank you.  I plan to spend lots more time here, couldn't get the chakras to work when I was there so I am eager to see that next time.  I am amazed at how this place is so real yet not real,  this teaches me that energy is/feels stronger than "reality".  It reminds me very much of a place I used to meditate in Bali next to the ocean.  I think it is very interesting, Mystress, what you say about the yoga practice there.
I think it would be fun to program a sun salutations sequence and then you could just let it loop.....not that I am capable of doing that or anything  :)

This SL thing has really added another dept to FST and reality itself.

Thank you Goddess and human Mystress!
