All the love you can ever want, awaits you through grounding.  Making the connection to Source changes everything.

On my 14th day of the grounding exercise...religiously doing the 8 x day for 45 days.

I understand why it is so important not to neglect this fundamental, powerful, foundation to your teachings

Sometimes after a grounding session, closing my eyes, I seem to experience a pulsating blue light, starting small and then engulfing me...then small again and so on...not sure what this means??

When doing the grounding exercise is it best to close your eyes or have them open, or does it really matter?

Honoured and fortunate to be here

Dave.

Hello, Dave.  I agree that grounding is both a good stand-alone meditation.  It's also a firm foundation that supports other stuff as I trust you'll come to see.  It makes no difference whether you have your eyes open or shut while grounding.  With eyes shut, I find I can go deeper.  With practice, open eyes don't matter.  After awhile, you'll be able to walk around and do stuff while consciously grounding or ground while you're sleeping.

As far as the blue light goes, are you seeing it in one spot?  I'm picking up that it's a dark blue which rules out throat chakra blue and points to possibly being witness or blue pearl of wisdom, to quote Muktananda.   When you see it, do you feel emotionally distant?

Hello Sigmund, thanks for your reply. I've been incorporating the grounding method into my Tai Chi form, obviously I have my eyes open, and getting some amazing results...

Yes, you sensed correctly, it is dark blue, just starts as a small circle, same place everytime, and expands to engulf me. I feel really calm when it happens...I reckon you have answers my question. I have been trying to keep into the witness state for weeks, along with connecting to Namaste. You mention Witness so I guess it's that.

Thanks

Hi, Dave.  Glad you're getting mileage from your practice.  I routinely ground while doing other things.  Brings out the best of both.  I mention witness because it's a possibility.  It could also be the blue pearl of wisdom, as Muktananda calls it depending on where it is.

One thing about the witness state, staying there for long periods of time can make the body frail.

Mystress

Yup, blue pearl! Right on Dave~!

Thanks for clarifying what it is...i've asked it to stay and guide me, and be my guide for the rest of my life, as you mentioned in your K-primer The Third Eye section.

Pleased to have it around :).

Thanks!
