How to communicate with my higher self?

I wonder; which is the best method to get in touch with and communicate with my own higher self?

Mine shows up when she feels like it, often when I am half asleep. As ego diminishes, you become your higher self, so it gets a little tricky to locate your higher self and have a chat with it, if you are it.

I sometimes use the "vase technique" I read about in a book on channelling  a zillion years ago.

 You get grounded, then empty yourself, imagine your body is hollow like a vase or jar. Invite your higher self, or your Goddess self to come fill the space.  Be that.

 If it is new to you, it is a good idea to first ask your Guardian Angel to only let your higher self in, or other higher aspects of yourself, and to keep out all other entities that might be hanging around looking for a home.
 Even so, the best chaneller runs around 80% accuracy because communication inevitably gets filtered and distorted.

Thank you! I will try that. First I thought I would just ask my guardian angels to connect me to my higher self, as when initiating a higher self negotiation, but then I got a feeling that this would for some reason not be accurate. On the other hand, I don%rsquot like this about distortions. Once, when another person%rsquos higher self communicated to me directly, the message was extremely clear. Although there is a difference as her message was of an emotional character. Now, I just realized I am a little bit anxious regarding what my higher self might have to say. So strange! What I am after is still to get some clue about my direction in life. I also plan to participate in a ritual with that aim next week. It will be interesting to se how that works.
