Stomach Serpent Brain

I just read an article (it was translated from English, the translation is really bad and I don%rsquot have the original) which claims we have a serpent brain in the stomach. Until recently researchers have believed that the stomach was controlled by the brain through the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. But this does not seem to be true. When counting the amount of nerve fibres in the stomach they realized that it actually contained more fibres than the spine. The connection to the brain is rather weak. In principle the gastric tract has an autonomous brain of its own. This is understood as a serpent brain, which is the really old remains from an early stage of evolution, when creatures were formed as tubes.

To me this sounds rather interesting. I have often experienced a lot of energy in my stomach. When I get difficulties to speak my stomach most often feels kind of overloaded with energy. The strongest serpent related experiences I have had have also been somewhat different from what seems to be the normal. I have actually experienced myself as being kind of a serpent. The serpent has not only ascended in the spine but has kind of occupied the whole width of the body. I have also experienced karmic wounds as wounds on the surface of the skin of this serpent.

Can anyone add any insights into this Stomach Serpent Brain and its relation to kundalini? Is it possible to awaken this brain and communicate with it?

Mystress

I did a fetish Tantra workshop once, and I introduced myself "Hello, My name is Mystress Serpent".. then stuck a condom over my whole hand very quickly to make an instant snake puppet "... and this is my snake." Got a good laugh.

Was talking about it later with my friend who is an actor, actors use mantras to stay focused on a character's motivation. He watched my real snake's flicking tongue tasting the world and decided a snake's mantra is "Are you food?" We both cracked up laughing, and the memory still makes me smile. Truth has that effect.

It was my mantra too for a while, LOL! Still is some days, karma vampire.

Yes, you have a second brain at your belly. Wired into the power chakra. Never heard it called the serpent brain before, but thus my story of the serpent's mantra. "Are you food?"

You tap into the belly brain with gut instinct discernment. You "taste" food with it, by holding food next to it, in the "Diet and Kundalini" lesson. Like a flicking tongue, it reads the energy to tell you what is food, and what is not food.

Scientifically proven. Google "belly brain" and you will find the study. Gut instinct, the language of the body. Wired into the power chakra navigation system of discernment.

As a child I read that dinosaurs have a second brain halfway down the spine, which controls the lower body and the tail. So do we.

The Fire Serpent. I have experienced that, as well. Named for it. It is a blessing.

You gave your karma to the Fire Serpent. Snake's wounds are shed with its skin.

Kundalini brings the earth knowledge of instinct, into awareness. The serpent is the oldest symbol for the Earth.
You already communicate with it, and it responds with feelings, sensations and appetites. It does not speak in words, it is not a thinking brain, like the mental brain. It does not need to think, to know. It is the instincts Goddess wove into our DNA, speaking its wisdom as gut instinct navigation for physical reality. The body knows what is food for the soul.

  Blessings...
