Hi Everyone:)

My name is farooq and i just started the FST course a short while ago.

I'm really excited about this course and hope to participate on this board too.

I also had the opportunity to attend one of Mystresse's Kundalini support meetings last night. It was very nice.

Getting to meet her in person was a real treat.

All the other people there were very friendly and supportive.

It is a real blessing for me to be able to meet a true master that is willing to guide me along this process.

I've had most of my knowledge from books and stuff on the internet, but now i'm at that stage where i need to 'come out of the closet' and start interacting and communicating with others instead of just twirling things around in my head.

I look forward to what ever happens next;0)

Peace and smiles to all.

Hi percyval,

Thank you for your kind words.

Yes, meeting with Mystress was truly a great honour, yet she was so down to earth and easy going that i did not feel any intimidation.
To me she also looks softer and gentler in person than on the videos.

btw, I was scrolling through some of the old posts and saw that you've experienced the 'amitra' nectar.

my understanding is that you taste that after you have been purified by the fire after a long period of time.

Has that been your experience?

Do you experience the taste on an ongoing basis or only when deeply in meditation?

peace and smiles......)

Welcome Farooq!

You are indeed blessed to visit one of those meetings. :) I live quite far away, but plan to travel when the oppurtunity arises. Looking forward to read more from you!

hi farooq,

my flow of Amitra seems to come and go and change in the amount of flow... it seems to be a result of Kundalini opening an inner physical valve to the pineal gland as it opens up the Sixth/Third Eye/Pineal Chakra...

while my K has reached up to my Crown and opened it... i feel that the opening can still become a wider more full and permanent channel in me as i continue to let the Shakti burn off debris...

i find that chanting which vibrates the chakras, (especially the Pineal) is a great way to open the Sushumna, especially from the Heart Chakra or Throat Chakras up thru the Crown...

warmly,

percyval

: Welcome Farooq!
Thanks Gustav,

The schedule for meetings are on the Kundalini support network site.

Hope to see you at a meeting in the future.

Hi percyval,

Thank you for sharing your insight.

Personally, i feel i have only just begun to open up my central channel.

I feel that this really is the core (pardon the pun;0) work for me to focus on.

btw I heard that group chanting in places like a deep cavern can have a very profound effect.

Thanks for confirming for me that the amitra starts to flow when you really start to open up this channel.

Peace and smiles

Found this very interesting.  I absolutely love doing the grounding meditation, but the one thing that hurts when I do it is my throat.  Whenever I focus in on it, the ache increases.  From the little bit I've learned, the throat chakra is related to communication and in my case unexpressed emotion, a huge problem I've been working on.

Can you recomend any type of chant in particular (or anything else for that matter!) for helping clear blocks in the throat chakra?

Thanks!

jaime :)

Gustaf

I can recommend four things. :) (I've worked a lot with the throat myself)

1. Chakra Shuddhi.
This is simple. Just sit or lay down in a comfortable position. Relax your body. Move your attention to your throat chakra. Now breathe in and out through the throat chakra, in through the kshetram in the front of the throat (kshetram is the front side of the chakra) breathe in to the chakra in the spine at the back, then back out again through the kshsetram. Imagine a piercing feeling through the chakra each breath. Do this for as long as you like. :)

2. Scan your throat area for things stuck there to surrender. Mystress is better at explaining how to do this. :)

3. Vipareeta Karani Mudra (or Asana) It's an inverted kriya that helps open the throat chakra. It's best taught by a good yoga teacher however. If you have basic knowledge in yoga, throat lock (jalandhara bandha) can be helpful also.

4. Theru Neela Kantam mantra as taught by Sri Siva.
This is by far the most powerful method I've run into so far and it resulted in quite the awakening in my throat chakra that was a bit rough to handle. But if mantras is something for you, this one does the trick.

There are some free examples you can download and listen to. It's very powerful and can stir up a LOT of stuff. :)

Percyval

hello Jaime,

Gustaf's exercise sounds like it will get at the spot quite well...

another aproach is to chant "AHHHHH" like when a doctor is looking at your throat... feel it vibrate different parts of your throat as you experiment and change the way you chant it... meanwhile visualize that the sound is breaking up the debris, like when ultrasound is used to break up a kidney stone...

after playing with that awhile... try adding a chant of "ooooommm" after the "ahhhh'... notice that you are chanting "AUM"... and feel the pineal gland at the center of your head vibrate on the "ooom part... play around and feel what how your body is responding to the sounds and breathing... enjoy...  :-)

percyval
