Must Reiki symbols be removed?

I remember a discussion on the k-list about Reiki and its advantages and disadvantages. It's what sparked me to take the Tummo initiation and ending up here. I heard about people having problems because of Reiki symbols.

Is this necessarily the case? I had a Reiki I about a year ago, and haven't had any problems with it that I can tell. Of course, my K was active before that, maybe that has something to do with it. Because I am pondering whether I should book a session to have them cleared or not, preferring to not have to much gunk in my system.

Hi Gustaf

There is no real yes/no answer to this one. If you had a good teacher you are propably connected to "pure" symbols. The symbols holds alot of wisdom.. and can help you on you path. But they are duality based.. and in time you will have to go beyond them. If i remember correctly mystress was a reiki master.. but one day the symbols came up in a clearing session as blockages to be removed. This does not mean that they are bad.. just no longer necesarry. And it is not always wise to follow the path of masters.. they speak from another point of view. Ask yourself if it serves you.. if not have a clearing session. But if you remove them just because it is bad in general.. or because it is of no use to a selfrealized woman, you might miss out on a few pearls.

I am not familiar with the word gunk.. but i do know that reiki usually have alot of acummulated gunk due to the long lineages and instant masters.. so i suggest to disconnect yourself and the symbols from all this gunk and give it all to goddes

Thanks for your quick reply!  

That's the catch isn't it? There's that wish to do things the "right" way. The lady who gave me Reiki I is different and even refuses to associate with the traditional organizations of Reiki. I also remember her finishing the session by welcoming me to a place of unity.. or something like that.

But I know without the shadow of a doubt that the Reiki symbols do not serve me. I embody such a lovely flow of Shakti that it just doesn't seem necessary. I don't experience pain or agony or anything of that sort from them, in fact, I rarely even give them a passing thought any more.

It doesn't serve me any more. I feel such an intense love from the Mother within me. That's all the healing I'll ever need, and that's the path I wish to walk.

LOL! I was pondering where I would get the money for a session, considering that we are moving, and Goddess just showed me a source of money I had completely forgotten.. Probably solely for this purpose.

I asked God to remove any reiki symbols which I was holding. And they were, it seems. Energy started flowing through my neck and head.

I dunno.. maybe it was just my imagination!

Anyone else tried this? I can't really verify it other than that I feel pretty good.

Maybe it works. I will try it too. But to be honest, I have absolutely no idea how, or if they are affecting me. I just know that I don't need it any more. Probably time for a little conversation with the heart voice.
