Questions about Kundalini

The more I read about people's Kundalini awakening experiences, the more concerned I become. What if the energy awakens, and I can't control it? I have to work, etc. These may sound like foolish questions, but I am concerned. What can I expect to happen?

   Hello, Barg:

 No, you cannot control it. It is Goddess.

 But, you can trust it. Have faith. Everyone's experience of K. is as unique as we are, so I cannot predict what will happen, for you.. but difficulties most often arise from resistance, and resistance is giving energy to fear as you are doing, with these concerns.

  They are perfectly natural concerns, and everybody gets them.. but the path of K. is to surrender your life to Divine Will. You can trust that K. will take care of you, "like the lilies of the field".

 One of my long time students wrote to me last Friday, concerned because he was blissing out so much, he had no motive to look for a new job to pay the rent. I reminded him to surrender and be a lily. He wrote to me last night to say synchronicity had put $1000 in his bank account, and he had a great new job offer.

 That's how it works, with K. Goddess has it handled, She will take care of everything so long as you get your fear and resistance out of the way, and LET HER! It takes practice.. faith does not happen overnight. You will have time and opportunity to practice.  

  Things will change.. that I can promise you. A year from now, you may have a differnt job, if Goddess decides your present job does not serve your highest good and She has something better in mind for you. You may have different relationships, different interests.. but through it all, you will be taken care of.

  Sometimes people negotiate with K. I know one woman who made an agreement with spirit, that so long as K. did not erupt and embarass her in public, she would devote all of her private time to following the instruction of Divine will. It worked for her. This is conditional surrender, I don't recommend it.. her fear of embarassment is ego based... but I offer this example so you will know that Goddess will hear you, if you ask for mercy.

Thanks for your answer Mystress. It's been a really busy week at work and I haven't had a lot of time for the course in the last few days. But I've been doing my grounding meditations. I do them whenever and wherever I can. Bus, subway. Even walking down the street. Also at my desk and in the bathroom. And, of course, at home.

Sometimes I'm able to visualize better than others. Sometimes I feel tingling, other times nothing seems to be happening, but I persevere.

The worst part about being one of your first web students is that there's not a lot of activity in this tea room, and I wish I could discuss things with other students.

I look forward to the weekend when I can devote more time to this.
