Laura

Hi All,
  Just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Laura and I live in Florida...
or should I say Floriduhhhh.
Anyhoo, I am not here to talk about politics.
I joined FST a few weeks ago and have been
studying the lessons.
I believe my K started rising a couple years
ago with the advent of hearing some strange tones
in my right ear.....things were not the same after
this.
I was involved in some other spiritual pursuits,
perhaps something I did awakened the K. not sure what.
As Mystress says BEWARE, awakening Kundalini can
be dangerous.
O.K. let me just cut to chase.
Since I have been reading the FST lessons the
tones in my ear have stopped and have been replaced
by some rather quite and calm flute sounds! But now
my mind is racing with all kinds of unpleasant thoughts
and memories.....
My question is this, does K start burning off a lot of
karma when it kicks in, and how can somebody safely
navigate this.
Coz to me, this feels like the onset of mental illness.
All comments and suggestions are very much welcome!

Hello, Laura, Welcome.

I am just back from two weeks sailing vacation. Lovely, very relaxing but it is also good to be home again. Today's work, packing, unloading the sailboat to prepare it for winter and bringing everything home was physically tiring. I still have to put everything away! That can wait till tomorrow. Now I am sorting through the thousand or so emails that piled up in my absence, and thought I'd check the tea room. Nice to see there was some activity in my absence.

I think awakening is always asked for, on some level. Perhaps one of your spiritual pursuits involved asking to turn your life over to Divine Will, or perhaps you were spending time around other awakened people. K. is contagious!

:    As Mystress says BEWARE, awakening Kundalini can
: be dangerous.

It is mostly only dangerous if you do not surrender.

The tones have changed because another chakra has opened. The memories are old karma surfacing. Best just to allow them to flow through you without attaching to them or making a fuss.

I like for people to go through FST as a linearity, it is structured... but because many people who come to the course are already awakened, sometimes the info you are asking about is later in the course. Rather than skipping ahead, I suggest you go to my other site, and read the pages on karma and surrender. The URL is below.

Blessings!

PS: I just checked, and the site seems to be down at the moment. The internet is not a reliable space! Likely it will be up again in a day or two.

Welcome to FST Laura!

I went through a mental illness scare a few years back, but most likely completely different in many ways.   A common factor was probably fearful, confusing feelings and thoughts.  You seem to be handling it with maturity.

Since you have access to the FST course, it probably means that a lot of the guidelines will assist you through this, though paradoxingly some lessons may provoke more issues.

Kundalini awakening brings to the surface all that is hidden.

But to answer your post, what helped me a lot at the time was writing down everything that went through my mind, all my feelings.  Expressing myself freely, with no holds barred.  Not really to read it, but just to at least express it.  The book "The Artist's Way" helped me with this.

Any kind of mental issue is confusing.  Having anchors in my everyday life helped me.  It was important to me during this time to identify who and what I hold dear, what mattered to me, who I thought I was and what my dreams were.  Books by Napoleon Hill, Anthony Robbins and Wayne W. Dyer helped me with this.

It is hard to surrender something you don't even know you want.

I wish I could write more, but I'm not certain what would be appropriate. After 7 years, and especially since FST, I react a great deal less, which is more relaxing.  I'm waiting it out more and surrendering whenever I think about it.  Magick!

If you want more specific details, please don't hesitate to ask.

I hope the course helps you, and that your clouds of confusion become lifted very soon.

Love,

Nadine, aka Kiki Vampire

Welcome, Laura.  I'm a tropical girl myself-can't stay away from those palm trees and crashing waves; but yes, being a Floridean right now is a bitter "poll" to swallow! :-)

Yep-sounds familiar. First off, you are in a great place here to be heard and understood.  So many of us go through this beginning phase where there is so much to process.  It can feel quite overwhelming and disturbing at times. You are not alone here.

What I wished I had heard about in the beginning was how to ground properly, what it meant to be grounded.  You can't do better than Mystress' grounding lesson in my opinion.  It took me some rough ridin before I found it-but I cannot under-estimate the importance of it.

I would recommend, as Mystress and Kiki Vampire suggest learning the graceful art of surrender. Now you heard it 3 times!  When I began my awakening I didn't have a clue.  I would ask people...literally....uhh, excuse me, but how do you let stuff go?  Most of them would look at me strangely , and couldn't really tell me.  It took finding the Kundalini Gateway and reading the sites that Mystress directed you to before I started to really "get it."  Now , just yesterday my young son, who is quite empathic was feeling some strong emotions.  I teach him to visualize his body as a beautiful golden cage and his emotions are these colorful birds that just want to be free.  First he has to "feel" the bird and see just what it looks like, give it a big kiss, and then let it go from a door in the cage at the top of his head, asking the sky to take care of it.  So , this works for him, and visualizing it can help.  That's why I call it a Graceful Art.  First I studied what Mystress teaches on how to surrender to Goddess, and usually that's the way I go.  But sometimes I create these "visual aids" to help.

Some of the stuff you have coming up may be pretty strange.  Remember it's just the passing parade of karma..and let it roll on by.

        Blessings to you,  Shara

That is really beautiful, Shara~! Thank you for sharing it with us.

   Blessings!

Good advice. Especially if you give yourself permission to burn the paper afterwards. It is an additional demonstration to the universe, of your intent to release. Try not to inhale the smoke!

I have a cauldron-shaped brass planter, a simple pressed-metal plant pot holder that is great for incinerating a crumpled sheet of paper safely, outside and scattering the ashes to the wind. An attractive receptacle for gifts to Goddess... afterwards, I put the plant pot back in... additional message of transformation.

   Blessings!
