KaliPrasad

Hello everybody,
This is my first post.  I am new here.  I want to free my kundalini.  So far I am at the Grounding lesson.   As a little background about me, my sister had her kundalini awakened several years ago and when she did, her head and body shook whenever she came close to spiritual truth.  It still does, but it is not as much of a problem as it was.  I believe I have the same thing, but to a smaller degree and it is not really awake in me yet.  my head shakes whenever I come close to spiritual truth.  It is always at the edge and any time I want to I can surrender and it will start shaking.  I believe that a lot of energy is trapped in my head and is blocked in my neck somewhere.  My roommate also thinks so.

I have two questions:

1.  Is the current between the sun and the center of the earth direct current or alternating current?  Is the energy moving in one cycle constantly in one direction all the time (in a circle) or does it alternate in going one direction and then the other direction?

I am just trying to visualize it and I am wondering.  If it is direct current, I am having trouble visualizing the energy going down from the sun to the head and then eventually going back to the head along the same path.  I would think that the energy would bump into its self if it was direct current.  What do you think?

2.  I have been taking Tai Chi off and on (mostly off) for the last 20 years.  I had always been curious about whether the Kundalini energy is the same as Chi energy.  Several people have told me that it is.  Then I read your words on your website, Mystress, as you said that although the energy is the same, the APPROACH to it is different.   In tantra, you surrender to the energy, while in Tai Chi, you control it.  So, Mystress, my question is now that I have learned what I have learned in Tai Chi, (and still practice sometimes) how do I regard kundalini?  Do I have to be a switch or what?

Namaste,

: Hello everybody,
: This is my first post.  I am new here.

Welcome, Kaliprasad.

: I want to free my kundalini. My roommate also thinks so. >>>>

yes/no/maybe... :)
The shaking is called Kriyas, and they are the Kundalini energy going to work breaking up the blockage. Set time aside to surrender to allowing them, and they will clear the blockage.

However, having a physical reaction to a spiritual Truth is a useful navigation system, and the effects may linger after the blockage is cleared, because they are functional.

: I have two questions:

: 1.  Is the current between the sun and the center of the earth direct current or alternating current?  Is the energy moving in one cycle constantly in one direction all the time (in a circle) or does it alternate in going one direction and then the other direction?

I imagine it as direct current, most of the time, but the grounding starts with it alternating.

: I am just trying to visualize it and I am wondering.  If it is direct current, I am having trouble visualizing the energy going down from the sun to the head and then eventually going back to the head along the same path.  I would think that the energy would bump into its self if it was direct current.  What do you think?

There is a Tibetan form of grounding that has the two fires meeting in explosive alchemy, at the heart, or any of the chakras. What I do is similar, with the core energy expanding outwards and circulating around the aura as the Earth heart Shakti energy comes in.

Let the energies merge within you before they head out again. How you imagine this is up to what works best for you, but don't try to put normal rules of electrical current on Divine Energy. It is not so predictable.

If you really need to visualize an up/down stream, then send the sky energy down your front or center, and bring the Earth energy up your spine.

: 2. Do I have to be a switch or what?>>>

OK, I have to take your questions apart to answer them. First, they are NOT the same energies, except on the level of Cosmic unity.. All is One. However, on all levels where there is duality, they behave differently and are best considered different energies. Chi can and must be directed.. K. has it's own Divine will, and you must simply be a vessel of it.
A complete explanation of this is in the Earth and Sky Energy lesson, a little further on.

Your experience with Tai Chi will be beneficial to your Tantra practice, because you have had experience in moving and visualizing energy, and the tai chi will have had a cleansing effect on you that will probably make your Kundalini process smoother.

What will be new for you, is learning to surrender to letting the energy have it's own way, instead of directing it. This course uses a combination of both approaches, so I'm sure the transition will be easy for you.

Thank you Mystress for all your answers.

I have another question.  What do the sun and
the center of the earth represent?

Percyval

hello KaliPrasad,

welcome to the Tea Room...

> I have another question. What do the sun
> and the center of the earth represent?

i feel that the Sun and the Earth's Core are simply here and who they are... as such, they really don't need to represent anything, although they may have many correspondences to other things (such as their physical expressions in 3D space, and their more individualized versions of themselves within us).

warmly,

percyval

: Thank you Mystress for all your answers.

: I have another question.  What do the sun and
: the center of the earth represent?
Well, they represent themselves! The Sun and the center of the Earth are two out of body chakras. If you need to label them you can think of the sun as Father and the Earth as Mother.
      Blessings!
