Hearth Chakra and Inner Voice

Hello All,
  I'm fairly new here and this is my first time posting and I just wanted to say hello.
  Well about my heart chakra, I am trying to get in contact with my inner voice. I do know that we are always connected, for if we weren't we wouldn't be right? But I'm having trouble becoming sensitive to it's energy (and to energy in general). I have no problem grounding (or so I think). I always get fairly tingly. So I imagine the colored sphere and ask it if it loves me and say hello and such things, but I don't feel different. Tingly still, but nothing I would notice as different that would constitute as an answer. I did the clearing entity exercises but still nothings different. Perhaps it's just not time yet, and in that case when is usually the right time?
   I geuss I've always had a problem with opening myself and surrendering. Perhaps I still have to work through those sorts of blocks. Anyway, thanks for listening. If you have any interesting thoughts or insight, I'd love to hear it!
