New Shoulder

Dear Goddess,

Please be with me as I go into surgery this week for a new shoulder. I surrender my surgery to You to guide as You see fit. Help me remember to breathe when I am in pain and to surrender the anxiety that comes with pain. I pray for calm and strength as I fly out of town for pre-admission and surgery. Thank you Goddess for a safe, sane and speedy recovery. Namaste. <3

Dear Goddess,

Thank you for a very successful shoulder replacement surgery. I just saw my interim surgeon and she says my x-rays are perfect and that my limitations are only based on my own mobility and comfort now. Thank you for providing me with bi-weekly physiotherapy so I can be given a home-based program. Thank you for manageable pain and the ability to do at exercises twice a day, while using less and less pain medication. Thank you for surrounding me with compassionate female doctors during my awake intubation and thank you for making it not much more irritating than going to the dentist. Thank you for providing ongoing support from family, homecare and friends. As Sigmund would say, it was better than I hoped and less awful than I thought it would be.

Hello, WimZy.  I've been thinking about you lately and am so glad you have good news to post.  I'm also glad that it's been less awful than you feared and better than you hoped for.
