Ask your discernment: Why did the lesson not open for these two students?

Change to daylight savings affected the pacing software.

Hi there:

So I have been following the pace of one lesson a week. Because I opened my FST account on a Thursday morning, the course has reliably been available to me each Thursday morning.

For some reason, the course is not accessible to me this time 'round. The only change I can see that has occurred in the last few days is Daylight Savings? But I imagine a sophisticated computer server should be able to read DST.

Any thoughts or help on what I cannot access my next lesson this morning?

I look forward to your reply.

Crystulle

Hi suspect,
We apparently joined on the exact same day!  I can't open the Heart Chakra lesson either.

No one has ever reported that problem before... and as spring daylight savings moves the clock forward, I cannot think why it would interfere with the course pacing.

However, all of my shakti charged websites belong to Goddess and She has Her way. They have some history of unpredictable behavior that can often be traced to the needs of the visitor. Specifically, pages or videos not opening if the seeker is not grounded. The chatroom on fire-serpent.org will act up with any student whose not done the computer bubble spell.

Heart chakra opening, heavy stuff and impossible if ungrounded.

You are both new to discernment but just for fun, lets take a poll... grads and those farther along, get grounded and answer the poll according to your inner discernment.

My discernment seems to tell me that they weren't ready and that this will pass.

The page became available the next morning (Friday).
I feel it was a technical glitch. But a difference of twenty-four hours seemed to have made the difference.

Hi,

My discernment tells me that it was good for the students, that the idea of going too fast was brought to up. So that it can be seen, evaluated and reflected on it. Indeed divinely arranged.
My technical side is completely puzzled at that. And any guesses as that February was a shorter month are a bit too thin for publication.

Love,

Duu

The pacing engine is a simple cgi script that counts days since registration, it is on local server time. The script does not care how many days are in a month or what time zone you are in, it does not look at your local time at all. I suppose, computers being precise it probably measures the 7 day interval down to the nanosecond.  It is possible that you tried to login early:  less than an hour before the mystery curtain was due to lift because your local time was out of synch with the server after it went to daylight savings... but the page would have become accessable within the hour.

So, I am sticking with, "Goddess did it" and yay for the pacing system because before it was installed She would sometimes take more extreme measures to stop someone trying to go too quickly, like, blowing up their computer... or their peace of mind.

Just to close the circle on this, I ran my own little experiment regarding the tech.

I checked the Fire-Serpent Lesson every Thursday morning and the following Friday morning for the last three (3) weeks and result is that the lesson has been available each Friday (but not on Thursday).

In conclusion, there must’ve have a been a technical glitch, I believe triggered by the Daylight Savings switch. Often happens when scripts are fragile or a line of code doesn’t take into account something like calendar/time changes.
