  Henceforth the FST chats in secondlife will be on the second monday of every month, at 11am slt which is san francisco, pacific time. Also Vancouver time! Where I live. Handy.

Im or maybe was, one of those types who think that they have to figure it out on their own. That is good sometimes, but when one is running in circles for too long,  then it can be nicely discovered how good and helpful is just to ask.

Hello students in Europe and around the world.

This March (it applies to this Monday chat) chat will start as usual on 11am SL/Vancouver time but it will appear to be one hour ahead of the “event local time” for Europeans.
Because  “daylight savings time” starts in Europe 21 days after its active in  North America.
I happens only for two months in a year March and November usually. It impacts the chats in one moth only, until the Europe catches on. For countries that dont use any DST effect is different.

Its best to check online:

DST is a floating date so its start and ends on different day in March and November every year.

2015 8. March - 1. November

2016 13. March -  6. November

2017 12. March - 5. November

2018 11. March - 4. November

What that means is that in following years the March chat wont be affect by DST, but only Novembers chat. As March chats will occur before DST takes effect.

  I ended the schedule with the last chat in June because typically the summer chats are not well attended.  There will be no chat for August or July, they will resume in Sept, same bat time same bat channel.
