 I have a question about pentecostal miracle services. Maybe mystress knows. when ministers lay hands on the sick and some people get healed or fall down and start shaking and crying or they say they feel fire. Is it shaktipat? An intense awakening can be like that right? With shaking,crying,trembling,feeling like their body is on fire, falling to the ground, getting healed from the intense shakti energy? What about speaking in tongues too? I assumed it was just shaktipat but then wondered how come know became insane or had kundalini syndrome afterwards or could keep experiencing it everytime unless the kundalini goes to sleep after its over and it gets awakened again and again. I'm christian and I just wanted to understand more about this. These rituals are very common. Even in my church.

Interesting question, Joseph.

There have been many ongoing discussions about this, on K-list and elsewhere. Some believe it is, others think it is all the power of suggestion, and some think K and the power of the Holy spirit are separate things.

  The early Christians called the Holy Spirit, "God the Mother" so I would say it is... but I would agree that there are always a few who are hamming it up to get attention.

  In many ways, K shapes itself to the mind and culture of the people who invoke it. Christianity as Jesus preached it, is a surrender based religion. "Not my will but thine be done." It is heart chakra based, and awakening through the heart is the safest.

  The problems with K usually are a manifestation of resistance... also, problems come more often to people who expect them. 

   There is also an expectation that these things don't happen outside of church, and the group experience. It is similar to how you can sometimes negotiate with K, like to not get kriyas at work in exchange for extra meditation after work.

  On the other hand... how do you know that these folks are not getting some kind of energy hangover or after effects?  Is everybody in your church perfectly healthy in mind, body and emotions?

  Seems like a lot of folks who become "born again" do go off preaching and making big life changes... sometimes becoming very righteous and intolerant, which is a symptom of a disconnect between the heart and power chakra.

<p>I wish I could give shatipat in church or be a channel of healing energy for the sick, but i know giving shaktipat is not  the safest thing for me to do and if I could be a channel or vessel of divine healing then they probably would only want healing and wouldn't want shatipat unless I called it the holy spirit to make them feel more comfortable. Is it true that fasting helps to remove karma? I know a lot of saints used to practice fasting. I still haven't reached a full kundalini awakening yet. I have a health problem that could be blocking the flow because my health problem affects my heart,mind, and nervous system. I've had it for 7 years now. It causes chronic fatigue. I always feel tired and haven't been able to work much. When I spoke to you on the phone It gave me so much energy just from your voice and your aura or as you called it a zap, hehe. What is your advice mystress?
