Head/Neck issues

Hello all,

I really enjoy reading all of your posts. I know I am experiencing some type of awakening, but honestly I don't know if it's Kundalini or something less intense. Either way, I am enjoying the experience (well, mostly).

However, right now I'm experiencing some rather intense neck pain that I cannot attribute to anything I may have done to cause it. It hurts like crazy to turn my head, and at one point I even felt numbness and tingling I could not truly pinpoint to any one place but it's in the vicinity of the left side of my head. My vision has also been a bit wonky, going in and out and blurry first in one eye then the other. Then I close my eyes during meditation and get this strobe-light effect going on that really kind of throws me for a loop! I KNOW I am too young and in too good of health to be having any kind of a stroke...I've experienced this stuff in other areas of my body (all on the left side...hmmm..) and have had expensive medical tests done only to find out there's "nothing wrong."  I'm also having some issues with dental health after years of no trouble whatsoever...but that may not even be related.

Has nyone else experienced this type of head/neck issue? I'm kind of wondering if maybe I'm experiencing some kind of karma issue I need to clear with my throat...for many weeks this past summer I had all kinds of violent dreams about being choked, buried alive, strangled, drowned, torn apart, you name it....and that was when I was able to get sleep..the rest of the time it was pure insomnia for me, like being plugged into the wall socket! I thought I had dealt with the issues sparking those dreams, whether they're past life or whatever, but maybe not? If this is some kind of karma and not just the stress of my daily life...any suggestions on how to clear the blockage? Seems like I've been dealing with this one for too long now.

I welcome any and all insights...i'm still very new to all of this :)

Neck problems seems to be very common when dealing with an awakened kundalini and releasing karma. I have them myself and have had for a few years. The blockages we are dealing with does not necessarily have to be situated primarily in the neck though. It is as if the upcoming released karmas are ascending up through the body and tend to get stuck in the narrow passage through the neck. (Do you have the tummo fire? In my case it made things smoother. For some reason, I never had those scary dreams though, at least not yet or at far as I can remember, but most often only rather pleasant romantic adventures.) To me it seems as if the upcoming energy is kind of filling up and piercing the whole body and setting things right, which can bring up diseases or malfunctions we were not aware of, to set them right. However, that does not mean that we don%rsquot need to do a medical check-up up now and then on upcoming symptoms or that we would not sometimes be helped by traditional healing methods, such as physiotherapy, chiropractic or massage, when dealing with them. And sometimes we might also have to deal with the way we use our body, for instance when sitting for to long at the computer. Actually it is sometimes said that traumas can be caused by inappropriate body positions.

Dear Kittygrrl

I agree that neck and nerve problems are not uncommon with Kundalini. However, in view of the fact you are experiencing vision problems it would be wise to visit a chiropracter. An impingement of the second or third vertebra can affect vision.

Dreams of death are also not uncommon, I myself have had them. I've been sliced, dice, chopped and fried :^)  They can be disturbing whilst in them but I feel they hold no significance to the physical body, rather they are designed to break down our fears and illusions of death or perhaps signify ego death, maybe both.

I have had intense headaches for about 2 years. Its always there. Sometimes it turns into bliss momentarily. It intensified somewhat as I turned to spiritual practice.

I am seeing a chiropractor for it and it is helping. Giving the body a good stretch seems to help out a lot. My chiropractor thinks that when I work out a kink in my lower spine that the headaches will disappear.

All the best!

Scott

Thanks to Scott E, noco, and Vyana for your kind words and suggestions. I definitely need to visit the massage/acupuncture/holistic route when I am able...in the meantime, I have found that daily walks in the park through the fallen leaves instead of my normal workout routine has really fit the bill and helped in more ways than I can describe. Funny how that works.
Thanks again to all of you :)
