smoothing out the process

Hi,

I've been having a rough go of it the last  several months which led me to do the 45 days of grounding (which I just completed) and sign up for the Fire Serpent course.  Lately I've been  alternating between a feeling of bliss and a sense of inner strength and a sense of unease and discomfort.  The sense of unease and discomfort seems to be triggered by stress and/or work.  Is there any other meditation or things I can do to smooth this out?  I'm still doing the grounding and that seems to help but I can't say I'm in a permanent state of grounding or at least I still have senses of fear and unease.  I'm only on lesson 6 so I'm sure I still have a ways to go.  However, I have a job and family to support and my concern is that my uneasiness and sense of discomfort is affecting my work and family relationships.  Basically, I don't want to be around people or situations that may trigger me.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Work is a constant point of stress and growth. Pressure makes diamonds??
There is power struggle on both a physical level for resources and on an energy level for things like attention, praise, dominance, control.

Grounding along with Surrender, Gratitude / Humility, Discernment, Consent are of the most important learnings of this path. One of the techniques I've learned and try to keep at the forefront of my awareness is when in doubt surrender upwards to Goddess. Directing your anger and emotions even with internal dialogue at the person, group or even semingly "inanimate" objects you have differences or a poor opinion of only compounds the problem and brings it into your experience more fully. One of the things Mystress likes to remind us of is that "Thoughts are prayers" in other words you're infinite, you're pretty awesome at creating part of your reality already; what you focus on has gains energy. Approaching the situations by surrendering them up to Goddess puts you in a position to receive insights and often alternatives and solutions that would otherwise be clouded by the ego mind who is hungry to steal energy / gain energy back. I've seen the tension dissipate and the mood change in a room full of people using this active meditation.

Showing gratitude for the blessings as well as the "curses" is very powerful as well. This is difficult for most of us trying to find a reason to be grateful for pain and discomfort but I've been able to come out of some very low valleys by ultimately being grateful for the ability to feel pain and gratitude for the discomfort showing me I am not where my heart would like to be.

Another is to breath and focus on breathing. We can leave the body in stressful, monotonous, repetitive (deskjob) situations you can sometimes end up neglecting the body. You may notice after returning to your breathing that your legs are sore...you need to take a walk or that you need to grab a snack to fill up the tank. Gratitude for each breath when I can remember to do so has a very calming effect on my overall mood.

This served as a great reminder that I have somewhat slipped in my practice.

Thank you

Thank you â€" your post is extremely helpful.  I took some time off yesterday and read through Mystress K-Teacher site and was lead to the surrendering page.  I began to immediately feel better as I read through the description as goddess took care of it.  I’ve been actively surrendering since then and  doing this throughout the day at work today.   every time I felt down I would just surrender to goddess.  It worked very well and I actually got work done today.  I plan to continue surrendering and will incorporate your suggestions in my daily life.  I really like the suggestion about using gratitude.  I’ve experienced immense gratitude flooding through me on a few occasions but never thought of using it the way you described.  I think I will also go back and review the Kundalini Teacher site in more details now that my understanding is growing.
