Gulf Oil Spill Question

I believe that there is a gift in everything.  I also believe there are no accidents..my question is this.  With the Gulf Oil spill, does  simply Goddess has it handled apply here?  I am reading of many groups sending prayers to see the water as pure, the animal life as safe..etc.  Part of it feels like people trying to play God to what is outside of themselves.  Another part of it feels like an active attempt to improve the situation....looking for input.  Thank you.

I 'think' that there are no accidents because accident implies something should be a particular way.
The way i see it, here is the science of experience, not of the world of things. There are supernova's out there that obliterate everything, gamma ray bursts that can exterminate life within billions of kilometers of itself.
Being grounded takes us to that unconditional place. Can any 'problem' of the soul be solved by thinking about it, or by taking a mental position?
