bubble spell

I have a Rhododendron bush in my garden that has been attacked for the past three years by an insect named Weevil's . They really make a mess of the leaves and the larva damages the roots… tried various methods to get rid of them with no success.

This spring I experimented with putting a bubble spell around the bush, asking Goddess to protect it from these critters, I remember saying something like… go from here find other sources of food away from this garden. Be gone with you, leave!

Never gave it another thought, as my focus has been on my personal life since then, namely the separation with my wife and dealing with the stuff that rises with all that.

Been rearranging my garden this week and noticed that the new growth of the Rhododendron bush has not got a single bite on the leaves and seems really healthy which is usually, as they loved the new leaves.

Just in awe with this magic! truly amazing!!

Today I have been around most of the plants in my garden adding bubble spells to protect against damaging insects and disease, if the neighbours heard me they would think I was nuts.  ;D

I wonder if they have got my old weevil problem. ;D

Just wanted to share this experience.

That's great!  Sorry to hear of the separation.  Having been through one myself I know how difficult it can be.  Its wonderful that Goddess is working in your life.   :)

Thou art God.

Your story is very cool. I think its more about you getting some beautiful spiritual validation that you needed in a tough time, than about "if one bubble is good then more are better."

I cannot put my finger on exactly what made me go hmmm at my discernment reaction, reading your post, I just have a sense that I wouldn't want to be fragmenting my energy so much, and so casually. I would be hesitant to make that many bubble spells just for the sake of a garden. I'd be more inclined to work with the faeries and nature devas for a solution, or just trust Goddess has it handled.
I'd look to see if surrender or simple intentions, can be used instead of many bubbles. Try meditating on whether it was the bubble or the invocation/banishing intention that did the magic.

The kind of bargain the faeries like,  is for you to give a small patch of your yard over to them to do as they like, and leave it wild and weedy... dont mow it, weed it, spray it, trim or touch it... in exchange for extra assistance with your desired plants.  Be sure to have the fey you work with, cleared by your guardian angel because about 80% of fey really don't like people. If you were a naiad whose stream was turned into a sewer pipe, or a dryad whose forest was clearcut,  you would not like people either.

The house spell and especially the bubble spell are really the only chi based magic I teach in this course, simply because it is important to know how energy flows and can be manipulated by consciousness, so you can learn of your personal power and better understand how energy flows around you. The visualization practice also helps to open the 3rd eye.  Making an energy ball is a pretty common basic lesson in learning about energy, I cannot even remember where I first learned it.. (probably from a book)  but remember using it in my teens.  I present it in a way that directly enhances the students experience of the course itself.  Sacred space to grow and not having the energy of the course borking your computer.  I think the many benefits of having it in the course (which in the long term enhance learning to surrender) offset the fact of it being chi based magic... but personally... having learned to surrender I would not be using it so casually as you describe.  I even try to remember to take it *off* computer parts that are removed or replaced.

You make a bubble spell out of your own energy, you surrender it at the end but it remains.  You were the doer. A bubble for my computers, a different sort for my car, and my house spell... which really is an extension of my personal field.  I can think of two others, there is one around a box of stuff collected from stalkers because I feel a need to keep it as evidence, just in case but I want the energy contained... and one around an equisite sacred bronze Venus de Milo sculpture that I keep on behalf of a pagan group, as their temple of Aphrodite icon, so that it preserves the group dedication and doesnt get too much of my personal energy in it from being in my house.  I sometimes put a temporary one around my housekeepers too so they can do the job without getting Shaktipat from being in my home. It just preserves a bubble of their personal reality around them and is set to drop off them as soon as they leave.

You may have noticed for the Litha ritual, we created a group bubble spell casting the circle, and were very careful to remove/surrender/banish it all at the end. I did an additional clearing after everyone left.  Tidy witches, clean up after.  Don't leave bits of spells and energy intentions lying around for others to wander into unaware.

The SL Sabbat announcements tend to be very short notice, "as Goddess wills" because I sort of have mixed feelings about teaching that stuff to FST students.  Really I don't teach it, I just demonstrate it.  I think it is useful to have at least one experience of being in a pagan magical circle, and how it feels to be warded by the elements, in a different vibrational space. Its like teaching about faeries as part of the third eye opening at the weekend intensives.  Gives a more hands-on experience of the third eye and nature.  Cool to learn that these things exist, so you can recognise effects when you encounter them but those types of magic are not the focus of FST.

A little story. A looooong time ago, I did a favour for a friend who had a grow-op in his house, putting a house spell on it to hide it.  We had a minor falling out, I felt my energy was not appreciated and removed the spell. No malice, just quietly took it back. Was surprised to feel how paranoid the house felt, without it!  The house was like a beacon of fear and got raided within 48 hours, because of electricity theft.  The other thing that happened was my life got more peaceful. Hadn't realized the effect of the spell was some of his drama flowing to me. I think that new awareness of the possible karmic feedback effect, was the higher purpose of the whole event.

I once had an etheric body repair session with Yvette. She found my etheric body had been splintered or cloned into ..8? different selves? There was a me above, and a me below, and a me facing each of the 4 directions (made me think of the 4 elements/circle watchtowers) and a me draped over my lap in a way that gave me the impression it was the scapegoat that got the spankings... I had not realized an etheric body could be splintered like that, and integration felt good.  Made me more conscious of what I put parts of myself into.

Anyway, I think your experience is very cool, thank you for sharing it.  Do reconsider your interpretation of the meaning of the miracle. Talk with your DB, contemplate it in the light of your discernment.  I'd be curious to hear what you get!

    Blessings...

Thanks Jeremy for your empathy.

Hi Mystress:

I've communicated with my DB. contemplated the answers in the light of my discernment. Once again my ego has got the better of me... which concerns me. I was so enthralled with the magic that I got over enthusiastic and adopted tunnel vision, not stopping to first OK my intensions with my D.B. I've thought I made a conscious effort to talk to her before doing anything these days.

You are right of course, scattering my energy like that is not a good thing to do. It was indeed my intention that did the magic. I have subsequently lifted the bubble spell off them all and substituted a surrender to Goddess instead... Goddess has it handled. Interesting how the energy changed when I did this, I was so taken a back by this I took some notes on a scrap piece of paper, so I could accurately describe my findings. Here's what I wrote... as soon as I completed the surrender to goddess request the object became sharper, had more clarity, with a majestic flowing aliveness, enhanced beauty.

In a way I'm pleased this has happened because about a year ago I gave each one of my 300 + crystals their own bubble and grounding cord, a few hours work I remember... interesting, after I surrendered the bubbles, the same sense of change happened, .

Thanks for putting me straight!
