I was inspired...

I have always had in mind that my island in secondlife be a zen mountain with a spiral path. The first parcel did not allow terraforming, the second one at saphire ended up with a mountain range to block the view of neighbors. Not quite sure what happened with the sim, how it ended up in its shape but I hadn't worked on it for months because it was not turning out like what I wanted.

A few weeks ago I got fresh inspiration and borrowed another sim to work out the terraforming of my ziggurat mountain. Last night I installed the new land form shape and moved stuff around... and while it is still a work in progress, I am delighted with it. I sculpted a huge mountain with a spiral path, 3.5 revolutions like the spiral of the Kundalini serpents. When building is complete it will be a pilgrimage up the mountain with many stops for insights, talking rocks with buddha quotes, hidden scrolls and I don't yet know what else! The shroom circle with the bells is back, you can walk the long path to it, around the mountain or take a shortcut, walk directly up the hill from the new landing area.
There is a hidden spiral temple space inside the mountain which is very much a work in progress, empty so far. The only thing that did not change, is the white FST members temple.  The pirate ship is moved cloer to it, the beach campfire is near where it used to be, too.. and the chakra temple is moved above the cloud layer.  I hope to get the teleports for the chakra temple reset tonight before I go off sailing for a week.

Stop by, fly or walk the spiral path up the mountain and take a look... in particular I want to draw your attention to the new labyrinth at the top of the mountain.  This particular pattern of labyrinth is very ancient, more than 4000 years old and it has been experiencing a new revival in the past decade. Walking the labyrinth is like taking a stroll through all the areas of your own mind, in fact it is sort of brain-shaped.  It is used for meditation but also, particularly for problem solving or seeking inspiration.

Hold a problem or question in your mind as you begin, and walk the circuit to the center where you get insights. As you walk the path back out again, and you get understanding on how to apply the insight in your life.  Walking the labyrinth activates left and right brain hemispheres alternately as you make the turns, and can be quite an amazing process.
If you have problems moving in sl, then cam above the labyrinth so you can see the whole thing and trace the pattern to the center and back out, with your finger on the monitor screen.  Be interested to hear your experiences.

   Blessings...
