My profile picture will not update?

Well I tried to update my profile picture quite a few times today but it will not update for some reason. When I try to use one of the pre selected images it does work but when I try to upload my own it does not. I tried to do a search to find some help but couldn't find anything. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

  Avatar max size is 100x100 pixels or it will not upload.
