Charging money for Spiritual teachings? Wiccans believe one should not charge for spiritual teaching.. but in the east, it is customary to "lay your wealth at the feet of the Guru", and most every Western church or spiritual teacher expects a donation or fee.The Spiritual work that I do is priceless, but if I charged that, nobody could afford it! I have done a lot of teaching and healing for free. I am a very generous person, and I love my work. I love seeing people growing... . Yet, also know the truth of R.A. Heinlein's quote: "The Japanese have 13 ways to say thank you, and every one of them translates as 'Resentment of debt". I have found relationships work better if students give me something back, in exchange for my gifts. People tend to avoid someone they feel indebted to, or they will play at "sour grapes" and mentally diminish the value of what they recieved, to diminish their sense of indebtedness. If someone does not have faith in "Goddess provides" to be able to afford what I offer, then likely they are also not ready to recieve what I offer. I am offering free support for the course through a private bulletin board forum for members only, affectionately called "The Tea Room". I find that usually if one student is wondering about something, several other people are too, so it makes sense to offer support for the course in a "Classroom" setting, via online bulletin board. Shy members may post anonymously. The bulletin board offers a sense of community in an otherwise solitary path, that is important for spiritual growth. People learn from reading the experience of others, so I hope that members will post about the spiritual experiences they have while taking the course. Members can also book an appointment for an individual session ($200./hr CDN) once they have completed the first 20 lessons. How do you put a price on what is priceless? The price for a one year membership to Fire Serpent tantra (nearly 60 lessons) is $$150. CDN Occasionally I will offer free web scholarships for the program. However, I also have faith that if Goddess wants you to take this program then She will provide the money for it. I have had this happen over and over again, in my own life.
