Title: Grounding in a Hot tub
Post by: Mike on Oct 29, 2007, 04:47:35 PM
Hello Everyone, I am inquiring into the option of grounding in a hot tub. I like to be quiet in my hot tub every morning and every night. This is my personal quiet time & space. Can one achieve an effective grounding in a hot tub?????
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Of course, you can ground anywhere, even on an airplane or a boat. Wait until it starts to go autopilot before you try to ground while driving, unless you are at a stop light.

Hot tub is absolutely gorgeous - it's one of the places where you can't be hassled by anyone! excellent solution...... ;D

I like grounding in a hot tub too. I love to add some fragrant bathing oil to the water (best use ayurvedic stuff, dosha according to your temperament) - just breathing in and out, just being there, feeling good ...

And ... I can also recommend an other variation of grounding: ... grounding while RUNNING!

Although I am kind of lazy regarding exercises, still I sometimes put on my running shoes (I try to do it at least once a week) and get out for a run, over the streets, out of town and into the green and get rid of some karmic lard.

Starting off in a really slow pace, I consciously try to get grounded - while running. Running and concentrating on visualizing.
And it works! After a while I feel like running on clouds, being surrounded by a big transparent bubble that protects me against the wind and the cold. And then I get a feeling as if I am being fueled with pure energy rising up through the earth, through the soles of my running shoes, into my feet and up my body - strengthening the energy cord that I had visualized between sky and earth when I started to ground myself ... And it feels as if the earth-sky-energy is pulling me forward, as if it is doing the running for me. I feel like Arjuna sitting in his chariot being pulled by horses, my body does the running for me, and I myself just enjoy the ride  :D
The amazing thing is: when I run while I am grounded, I can run a lot longer and faster than in a "normal" state of mind! Up to about 20 or 30 % I think.

Nevertheless I take care not to run too fast or too long. I try to listen to my body, especially to my heart - it keeps telling me in a very clear way if I am still in a healthy zone (I don't like to need to see the medic after a run ...). Pacing down, if my body tells me so, as much as needed, or speeding it up again, when it feels OK to do so.
It is real fun to channel your thoughts and imagination while running and being grounded at the same time. Gives great insights and feelings of being metaphysical. I get high on that.

So that is why I recommend this, I feel it is really worth trying to run and ground.

I usually run for about 3 quarters of an hour, but anyone can run as short or long as he/she likes, of course. Maybe I will make it to run even more often. I am dreaming of 3 times a week. To run more than that might be unhealthy (wearout of joints?), but I am not sure of that. Just take care what you do and how you feel. Ask your medic.

Anyway, it makes me feel good - I love those endorphins!
I wish I was less lazy.

So ... just keep on grounding -
and keep watching your steps while you run,
sometimes there are evil stones or holes on/in the road ...
just run around them or jump over them - it is the real life

Hi Mike,

I am finding a hot tub really valuable place...it seems to give me the mental space and relaxation for worries to fade back and I can come up with new solutions to everyday problems and I'm finding new ideas - like a kind of uber meditations space......free from the constraints of the me when I'm dressed ( and a personality for other people to make judgements on, which I feel and clogs me up with other peoples stuff)........like thoughts are free er somehow....really nice - and yes fragrance can be more power FUL because it is in an isolated space so you can concentrate on the inspiration it brings.....I'm sure running would be great too - I'm just not there yet (laters)......more quiet and passive, but it's helping......onwards onwards......lots of love
