What does it mean to be "in duality"?

To live in the illusion that one is separate from all the others (people, animals, etc.).

To not be in duality is to see everything (the whole universe) as a part or an extension of one self.

Probably that is what you mean, but duality is where not only one exists; where there is time and space, good and bad and other differences.

I dunno. I have lots of thoughts about this but I don't really care if I am you or not. I don't think it is important, outside of the Game.

Well, I think it's practically difficult to be in
the state of non-duality all the time.

If I remember correctly, the lower chakras operate in in a dual state vs. the higher chakras.

If I use myself as an example, when at work, it's hard to stay in a non-dual state. I work as financier. If were to be in the higher chakras, and seeing everything as a whole, and feeling love for everybody, I would've given out loans and credits, deleting debts, etc. all day.
I don't think my employer would be happy for that. I will loose my job, and income.

So, to function in a physical world, I think you do need to be in duality, now and then.

I think this non-dual-feeling will come with time.
When walking in the forrest, or other places with nature - try talking to the trees, feel that they have a life, feel love for them, they love you, and you you will get the feeling that you are all One.

It's generally easier to be in One-ness with plants, flowers and animals, people you like - and  more easier to be in duality when relating to people you don't like.

Have you seen "What the bleep do we know?"
There are some nice theories for the intellectual mind to chew on. In the "quantum" edition of the movie there are some nice theories on matter is energy as well.
