Title: namaste
Post by: Lady C on Sep 06, 2000, 01:19:13 PM
Hi fellow classmates!

I love this salutation:  Namaste, but I don't know how to pronounce it.  Anyone for a game of phonics?  :)

Just a note to say I'm here, too, and very thankful to you, Mystress and all your helpers, for setting up this course.

I've been doing the grounding visualization for several years now - and for the past few months i have included my family:  grounding them individually and then merging all of us together as one big brilliant egg - usually reflecting pink light.  While camping the other nite, I grounded myself and the (usually pink) light went from the bright white to silver.  it felt good, empowering, but i feel remiss if i don't include my family the way i have been. any comments would be welcome.

Peace,
carla

hello Carla,

Namaste! (although i'm not sure how it is pronounced either)... it feels good to see another fellow student posting in the Tea Room...

Mystress Angelique may have something specific to say about including others in the grounding exercise, but i will offer my own experience... i tend to do this (including others) when i am doing specific work with other people, and also at the beginning and end of each day as i pray to Goddess at my altar... my family at home is my wife, and a nephew who just started living with us two days ago...

my Inner Voice tells me that it is fine to include loved ones in a bubble of protection, but it sounds a little extreme (and perhaps compulsive) to "feel remiss" if you don't do it... so i think that it might be nice to have some groundings that are specifically "just for you"... it seems that taking some time to acknowledge your own individual specialness might be a good thing for you...

when i first began doing the grounding three years ago, i was very disciplined about actually doing the full 45 days of 8x a day... i suppose that my awe of Mystress Angelique made me enjoy the discipline of a directive from my new "strict but kind" spiritual teacher... (Mystress is not necessarily strict, but i did specifically request strictness from her because i love her dominant side)...

very early on, i began to feel the warm tingling in my feet from Goddess sending the energy back up into me after making my gift of Light from Above into the Earth... on the 45th day after my eighth grounding was complete, i got a very special gift from Goddess... the warm tingly feeling went all the way up my legs to my waist... the whole lower half of my body was immersed in the most beautiful (even sexy feeling) warm tingly carress from Goddess... and just as a Mystress has said, the grounding had become permanent at that point and is now always with me... still, i like to add to its power by continuing to focus by doing the grounding exercise a few times each day... it has become a beautiful gift that is now effortless...

warmly,

percyval

Hi percyval (and others),

Yes - you are right - it is a bit compulsive. You could've even said neurotic, but you seem much more diplomatic than that. (teeheeheee) :)

I feel like my crown is blocked - it's much easier to 'feel' the earth energy than the sky energy - I can get the warmth but it's difficult to get it to open up and let the light down - seems to go up and out more readily.  Like there's a cork that will get pushed out but not in.  I will continue to practice...

I hope things are going well with your family - I have children and the sacredness of their Presence is something to treasure - it's truly a gift.

Thanks for the insights.

Peace,
carla
