The Tea Room

Quite awhile ago I spent some time doing the House Spell meditation. My intent, in addition to protection, was to create an atmosphere of homey comfort, safety, and peace that would be positive for myself and my boyfriend as well as for any friends or family who entered. Afterwards, I promptly forgot about the work I had done.

With the recent US holiday, I had the opportunity to have guests that have not visited in awhile. It struck me as amusing that the exact phrase mentioned by all was "wow, your place feels so homey and comfortable!" I had not thought about the spell until then. Perhaps it did its job :)

I have a sacred space in my mind when meditating...thanks for the reminder on how to manifest that feeling in the physical as well!

A lovely tale. Thank you for reminding me that we, in such a simple way, are responsible for what happens around us.

My husband and I lived & finally owned a very nice townhouse that was located close to his job (he could ride his bike to work) and a nature railtrail where we could get away from everything. In a very short period of time, our neighbors moved, as well as other homeowners on that street because their families were growing, etc., and landlords bought the places and rented them. The people who moved in next to us are Cambodian, wall to wall people, added a pool table, children spilling out onto our property so we couldn't even get to our front door without walking over them, drugs, smoke, alcohol,noise, congregating. This kind of thing happened elsewhere on the street, and then there was rioting, different culture wars. Our tires and screen door were cut with knives because we called the cops when things got out of hand. To make a long story short, we lost everything.

Goddess then placed us in a beautiful home with fantastic energy that is in the quietest neighborhood except for natural sounds, and there are doves and ducks and all kinds of other beautiful birds that come to see us - we have a sunroom in the back, and gardens. We are living paycheck to paycheck, but hopefully things are in the works. It is pretty empty inside, no furniture yet, and I've been scraping off wallpaper (not too much lately). I did the House Spell after my mother-in-law came over unannounced twice with her loud voice and talking about who died. 2005 must have been the year for reclaiming my boundaries. I added the "don't wake the baby" vibe cuz that is the way it is here (normally) and this enhanced it. It really changed things. Problem solved. Thank you very much for this great spell.
