As I said manzanita did not say the words to me. The response simply unfolded and I felt (sensed, noticed) nature speak in her infinite ways.
Touching naked feet to soil, air or water is one of the ways my fullness of being grounds into the splendid fountain of life.
Just a musing to share:)

: Touching soil, moving along the flow of the river my eyes were drenched in beauty. Standing silently in emense stillness stood a magnificant massive mazanita. My heart was moved to feel her grace, the sense of rootedness into Mother which she surely showed. As my hands lightly felt her strong smooth skin I asked "how does this feel". Her response, "I sense a flow you call the wind (manzanita didn't actually say the words. Instead the stillness in the summer air simply began to blow with intensity) , "I sense the night dark and dense, yet there is warmth which feels like love and light."
