"In doing some research, I've found that Teleglobe folded three
weeks ago, and with them went a hefty chunk of the so-called
Internet backbone on the eastern seaboard. We're likely to see
others pick up the slack, but it is a temporary blow for certain
- it's just hard to say how important it is. What I can and will
do is trace route from us back to some of the clients to try to
see where the bottlenecks are.
Please do let your customers know via the tearoom that there seem
to be some issues that are temporary, but they will be resolved.
We can't say when or how, however, since they're not ours to
resolve."
