Title: Intuitional Reactions
Post by: Sava on Aug 03, 2018, 10:14:55 PM
Hello, I have made it to the Testing for Groundedness lesson but decided to go back and re-read the previous lessons to get a clearer understanding of them. So I am now visiting the Sacredness of Sexuality lesson every few days and the part that really speaks to me is the quick mention of intuitional faculties:

"Spirit speaks thru the body more readily than the brain... the first part of learning to engage intuitional faculties, is learning to listen to the body: Hair rising on the back of the neck, goosebumps and energy shivers... the positive-negative answers from heart and gut. It is the body-mind that pulls your hand from a hot stove before your brain even knows about it... and the Woman who lifts a truck to save her child is not stopping to first ask her mind whether it thinks she can do it. Instinct is wiser than logic."

With the new practice Mystress gave me I have been trying to stay inside of my body more instead of "propping myself up" to stay inside of the root aspects of myself, no matter how 'painful' the body may feel at times, sometimes I feel physically sick while inside it. Anyways, I feel like there is a lot to learn from being inside the body and mastering the lower chakras, it is very instinctual. I feel like intuitional responses are similar to instinctual responses considering the way Mystress describes them in this lesson. For example, the body responds in an intuitive way by automatic responses that you just have to learn to notice and understand, like hair rising, goosebumps, energy shivers and (a few friends mentioned this other response to me) becoming hot and cold during different situations as an intuitional response? They talked about this response the most, however, I've never experienced a response like that before that I am aware of or what it may mean.

These intuitional responses are instinctual, which can be more reliable than logic, or relying on the brain to figure out or determine what is happening during a situation or what a situation means. I am interested in developing these intuitional skills, they seem like a skill that is learned through the body which I am more inclined to work with than the brain, which I have learned has many limitations. I think a good comparison would be wisdom vs intellect. A sense of knowing rather than having to think.

So I guess my questions would be what do the different responses mean, how do they present themselves ect.? Which chakras govern intuitional abilities and responses? How can we train ourselves to be aware of them and are there more lessons on intuitional responses in the rest of the course?

Blessings.

I can relate to this. I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibroymalgia, and depression with psychotic features, at least that was the last diagnosis I was given. I occasionally have anxiety attacks, and I know how yucky they can make one feel. I know what it's like to just feel bad in the body. I find if I can focus on acceptance it makes grounding easier when I have rough days. So you have solidarity and support from this corner. :)

I find the longer I do FST the more my intuition faculties develop. Some days I get lots of energy and insights in my mind and body; some days I don't feel much energy or get insights. Mystress recommends using the latter type of days to 'chop wood, carry water.' In other words, I focus on the practical on days when my intuition and energy isn't running wild. I've got tons of to focus on when the energy is high and intuitional body reactions are frequent!

Hope this helps

QuoteI have been trying to stay inside of my body more instead of "propping myself up" to stay inside of the root aspects of myself, no matter how 'painful' the body may feel at times, sometimes I feel physically sick while inside it.
When we ignore our body's needs (because we are too busy inside our heads) or stay 'out of body' (like trauma incidents, drugs, etc.), a lot of junk starts piling up fast. There is no one in the house and so it gets vandalized. When you return back to your body, it can make you feel sick, uncomfortable, bruised, angry, helpless, split, and weak. This is one of the reasons why drug addicts keep going back to the next fix even though many of them don't want to - a brief escape from the misery. Unfortunately, that only worsens the situation over time. The longer one stays out of their body, the more body becomes like a haunted house - no one to defend and no upkeep.
The good news is it won't always be this painful or difficult (if you continue to stay in your body and care for it with love). Bless your food before eating ('Goddess please bless this food. Thank you.') Eat well - nutritious and delicious. Drink lots of water. Walk among trees.
Every time you're in physical pain or discomfort, practice gratitude - 'Thank you Goddess for this body that can feel pain and pleasure.'
(The phrases are not mine. Thank you for teaching me these Mystress).

Yes. Goddess speaks through the body. Your body is your temple. She resides in All. If you think about your body like a radio transmitter, then grounding makes you hear Her loud and clear. The more grounded you are, the lesser the noise (of your own karma and other people's stuff).

FST is a DIY course. The lessons provide valuable guidance but the insight unfolds through life experience (when we are in surrender and grounded). Trust that your higher guides have your lesson plan handled as per Goddess' wish for you. It's your chakras and your intuition - why look for information outside you?

A small story:
The Japanese master Nan-in received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen. Serving tea, Nan-in filled his visitor's cup, and kept pouring. The professor watched the overflow until he could restrain himself no longer: "Stop! The cup is over full, no more will go in."
Nan-in said: "Like this cup, you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?"

:) Empty your cup through surrender to Goddess and stay grounded. She will answer if you listen.
