Hello, so I would like to share something that has been happening to me for several months now, the number 33 appears in front of me all of the time, enough for me to realize that it is not just a coincidence. I see it at times of peace, when I am helping someone at work or when I check the clock to see what time it is, however, the most bizarre part is many times I know when the clock has just hit the 33rd minute of the hour or that the number is about to show up in my reality. For example, I was walking around the property at work the other day and my body was zapped a bit and I went "Hm I bet it is the 33rd minute of the hour" so I pulled out my phone and checked the time and it was 4:33 pm. It is not only me who is making 33 happen for me either, the other day after shopping the clerk checked me out at 11:33:33 am, this one surprised me a bit because not only was it 11:33 am it was also 11:33:33 am, down to the second of the checkout.
I have been trying to have good character throughout the day and act accordingly and respectfully and have been seeing this number for my efforts? I know Christ was 33 when he was reborn, I know we have 33 vertebrae in our spine and I have read that 33 is a "master number" but I'm still not exactly sure what is going on here, I do enjoy it very much, it happens so much that I am basically used to it now, it's like a little reminder that I am making progress slowly.
My question for everyone is have you been seeing this number all the time? Or any other numbers? What could it mean? Anyone can shed light on the significance of the number 33? Why does synchronization happen?
There are whole cults and memes built around this phenomena, some people have some wild interpretations, especially for 11:11 ... google that and you will find some crazy ideas. Don't believe them.
The answer is much simpler. We are pattern recognizing creatures, our whole brain is based on that. Once you have seen a cup, you recognise cup-ness whether it is a teacup or a beer stein, you can walk into a secondhand store and see a hundred different kinds of cups and recognise them even if you have not seen many of the cups before. If you see something with a beak, feathers and lizard feet, your brain will recognise a bird even if you have never seen that type of bird before.
We recognise the shape, the pattern, we give it a name, and that is endemic to how our brains work. The more we start to look for a specific pattern the more we will notice it, our brain will draw our attention to objects related to our interests.
Ever get a new car and suddenly start noticing all the other cars of the same type on the road? You did not notice them before eh? They were of no interest until you got interested because you have one.
We get pattern recognition for anything we get interested in, our attention will be drawn to it. How our brains work.
I was a hairstylist for about 6 years but it took more than 10 years for me to get out of the habit of judging the hairstyle of everyone I saw and trying to work out what style or colour would look best on them. A mailman who is also a stamp collector will notice the stamp on every bit of mail they handle, another mailman might be a birdwatcher and never notice a stamp unless there is a bird on it.
33 has been coming up, 24 times a day your whole life eh? When did it suddenly become significant?
What you focus on, will grow eh? Some so-called synchronicity are self created. You are interested in 33 so the universe provides more.
Here is an experiment: start looking for triple digit licence plates. They have no spiritual significance but the more you look the more you will start noticing them everywhere.
The place where the pattern recognition phenomena gets interesting, is types of scrying based on random patterns, like reading tea cups. When there is an element of randomness, it makes a place for the unconscious information to come through. Goddess in the chaos magic. My adopted granny gave me a lesson once, to me it just looked like a lot of black specks in a cup until she started pointing out the patterns: a jet plane flying over a wedding cake- I would be flying to attend a wedding.
A similar thing happened to me once upon a time with my ex-girlfriend. She was having a seizure and I had to call 911. Every day after that for years I'd noticed 9:11 on clocks what seemed to be an excessive number of times. But before that the only 9/11 I noticed was the Twin Towers bombing. I didn't get the same effect after that. But my girlfriend was important to me, and so after calling 911 I just noticed it a lot. Now it's hardly ever a thing for me. Synchronicity sure is interesting, but not always profoundly meaningful, I find.
Thanks for the insight, makes total sense
