Title: Poem
Post by: Indigo on Dec 29, 2017, 08:37:20 AM
For Alexis

Oh deep endless pure sadness
That you have always been mine
Forever crossing ways we
Together treading times
Infinite intersects with
Different faces and hands
Grasping tightly each other
Before vast eternity

This prayer from my Catholic up bringing keeps coming to my lips.  Thinking of Mary always made me feel loved, while relating to the masculine aspect of God the father made me feel like a unfeeling soldier obeying orders.  I like that it makes me think of Goddess and how she is taking care of me.

Hail holy queen, mother of mercy
Our life, our sweetness, and our hope
To thee do we cry poor banished children of Eve
To thee do we send up our sighs
Mourning and weeping in the valley of tears
Turn then oh most gracious advocate
Thy eyes of mercy upon
And after this our exile show unto us
The blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus.
