Title: Realplayer problems - Mac OSX
Post by: M.J. on Aug 21, 2011, 02:12:12 PM
I'm not able to watch the realplayer videos - Keep getting the message "Connection to server could not be established. You may be experiencing network problems."

My computer is a Mac with the newest operating system (Snow Leopard).  I've tried downloading all the old versions of realplayer that are suggested, but these applications won't open, saying "the Classic environment is no longer supported."

Have anyone any solutions or suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

Hi Slapdash

Classic support was dropped in Leopard.

Try using an emulator:

I had the same problem,  - if you have an old copy of windows XP lying around run Bootcamp assistant from the Utilities folder and you can install Windows Xp.  You only need 10 gigs or so.  I was able to find an old copy of real player on the web and run it from windows... (hold option at boot and you can choose which OS to boot into).
